This book covered a wide range of emotions for the main heroine Hazel. From disgust, narrow minded POV to desperation and acceptance. The same could be said for the hero Noah and his comrades. I enjoyed their heated interactions and her redemption where she comes full circle. Living in a dystopian world where its the tainted vs the untouched. I thoroughly enjoyed the storytelling of these two characters, it isn't over and a war is brewing. I can't wait till the next book is released and highly recommend for those who enjoy and apocalyptic type story.

This book was well worth the wait as book 2 in this saga . I loved that the book is told from a dual POV of both Noah and Hazel, so you continue to see the struggle both are facing .These 2 charachters add so much more to the story , of struggle and forbidden love. Lots happens and you see more of the back ground story between the " normal " race of people and the " tainted " race that have survived despite the changes which have occured to them over the many years . Well written and leaves you desperate for the next book .

I love the continuation of this series and the dual POV from Noah and Hazel.
The world continues to unfold and we learn more about the tainted vs normals.
Not only is this a great read, but great series.
Highly recommend.

Crickey! I’m obsessed. That ending wrecked me. I cried so hard for Hazel. I’m going to need more ASAP.

The trauma of being unable to open your thinking in the circumstances of the main protagonist kept me squirming but wanting more.

Awesome storyline, beautiful world-building, lovable characters - what more could you want? This book sucks you into it’s world and now I’m eagerly awaiting the next one. Can’t wait!

So, so, so GOOD!

The wait to return to Sanctuary is over and boy was the wait worth it! This book picks up right where book 1 left off and, even better, it begins from Noah's POV. Hazel is quite the main character - fierce, sassy, misguided, kind and angry. She does a lot growing up in this installment, finally seeing past deep seated prejudices and learning some awful truths. She also has the misfortune of going through plenty of trauma but Hazel is nothing if not resilient and you have to admire her smarts and backbone. Noah ends up learning a few lessons as well and it's hard not to like him by the end.
This story has good overarching themes about fighting prejudice and learning to look past the cover. I love how this is all slowly building throughout the story and can't wait to see how the war brewing will resolve itself. I can say that this story has plenty of drama, heart stopping moments and tear swelling scenes. Your heart will race and break several times throughout the book but I guarantee it's worth it. The story, the characters, the world building is all fantastic and I found I just could not put the book down.

Get sucked in to a unique dystopian read!

This book was A M A Z I N G!
I couldn’t put it down.
After leaving us on a cliffhanger in the previous book, (as the author Ms. Frost Kay loves to do) I began “The Exiled” with butterflies in my stomach and a racing heart.
Hazel and Noah were brilliantly alive and holding my attention through this unique dystopian world. I don’t want to give away any spoilers, but this read was full of feisty, adventurous, gasp-inducing, fun!
Five stars and two enthusiastic thumbs up and also when can we have book 3?

Frost Kay picks up in The Exiled exactly where she left off in The Tainted. It moves at a great pace with characters you grow to love and some you grow to hate. We’re starting to get a hint of who the real “big bad” is in this series. If he/she is anything like the villains in her other work, we can expect terrible and amazing things.
One consistent attribute in Frost’s works is a focus on how men treat women, and how people treat each other. Her beautifully good, and flawed, characters demonstrate basic human decency – something taken for granted in today’s world.
The Exiled takes an us vs. them scenario and shows how we can be given the opportunity to turn that into an “all of us” scenario as well as how we often don’t – instead, many have a tendency to exile those they could be friends and allies with.
If you’ve read her work before and loved it, you will love this series. If you have not read her work before, welcome to a world of lovable characters, meaningful plots, and horrendous cliffhangers.

I was very much looking forward to seeing where Frost Kay would take this next installment of Dominion of Ash and once again she has exceeded my expectations! Hazel is forced to look at life from a different perspective and as hard as some of the lessons were she comes out of so much stronger and able to beings for what's on the inside not the outside! Having the the wisdom of a strong abuela can/will change most anyone for the better but Hazel starts with super strong character and heart <3

I can not put this book down! Both Hazel and Noah are destined to be soul mates! All the characters are so interesting that they deserve their own story. I can't wait for book three!
