A great piece of kit, that just works! I couldnt get a Kodi box working with a Harmony Elite remote (it worked on one set up but when swapped over didnt work on the newer PI4 version). This quality finished item resolved any angst and just worked straight out the box. I have since added the download app to my pc and it updated the software on the USB IR dongle, giving a sense that this is a fully supported item that can be trusted for future operation! Great!
This works perfectly and is plug and play for some devices... such as Nvidia Shield TV! This just worked straight away using infra red from a Logitech Harmony with Shield codes rather than the bluetooth signal for the original remote!
I have used it with other Harmony remotes in other Android boxes and PC, no problems at all. Worth the cash, nice and stable connection too...
Very pleased with this dongle but comes with no instructions. Internet search resolved this and software installed on PC to enable more detailed programming. Great that once programmed you can move it to any device. Does a great job but I think it could have better software.
Early days but it's not really working and I'm sure it's more than a configuration error, also the front has fell off out the box. Can't be bothered returning it I'll wait for a reply off the forum then give up. Seems to be slow at responses for help there. All in all I'm gonna give it 2 stars for now
Bought for a Raspberry Pi media centre running LibreElec and controlled using a Logitech Harmony. Not much to say apart from the product works perfectly, it was a simple plug and play and everything worked out of the box with no complaints at all. Just the way you want it really!
A very useful product. I'm using it to allow infrared control of an Amazon FireTV box and it works perfectly for this. For clarity, I should point out that you can't use it with the fireTV *stick* though as this has no USB port.
Setup is straightforward, you plug the FLIRC into your computer, and use the software to learn each of the buttons on your chosen remote control - because it's the receiver that learns, you can use pretty much any old remote control that you might have lying around.
Does exactly what it says and I can now use my TV remote to control Kodi on a Raspberry Pi. (I have an additional option on the remote to control a DVD, etc) only negative was that the end cap pops off really easily.. Maybe it could be glued on, but perhaps it's for easy disassembly? Otherwise excellent with an easy interface
Does what it says. Using with Logitech Harmony 650 and a Fire TV Gen 1. That said, it needed an application (Mac/PC/Linux) to be downloaded from the FLIRC web-site and run to update the device firmware. Then the Harmony software could be used to add the FLIRC to the appropriate activity. The Harmony device doesn't appear to be the Logitech Fire TV one but rather FLIRC's own one (Mfgr: Flirc, Device: FireTV Media Player ?).
After the FireTV Remote, the H650 feels somewhat clickier.
easy to program and seems to work with variety of remote controls. May be a little heavy on power use for laptops etc (gets warm) I use it with VLC on linux box attached to TV. NB keyboard interface only - no mouse support. Deduct half a star for cost - which at £22 I feel is about 25% higher than it should be. Would have bought multiple units if cost was lower.
No good took me 3 day to program the usb and it still pick up a remote what not been programed to it the usb good but the sofware is buggy as hell and as i said it keep picking up over remotes saying i have press number 8 on the keypad what i have not what a wast of £20
