An extremely one sided ,fanciful recording of history.
Obviously aimed at a US readership because anyone with any British or royal knowledge can see right through it like. Apiece of glass.

I read this and the book by Lady Colin Campbell in the same week and there is no comparison. Lady C's book is very well written. If this is written by a journalist I am very surprised! The command of grammar is just not there. And the dead giveaway that Meghans shadow is all over it is Americanisms. The English do NOT say "run errands" and yet this expression, this americanism is in the book. Its a book about two very self absorbed people. Every excuse given for wanting to leave England makes little sense. The false explanation that they are seeking privacy when they lived in private grounds in Windsor Castle when now they live in a property with sweeping views in a highly populated area. If you see out for miles long range cameras for miles see in! isn't the reality the obvious reality is it is a money thing. Meghan is very savvy, now has a 20 million dollar house and if things sour this puts her streets ahead of what would have happened in England where Harry's money was protected. All i'm seeing is someone with borderline personality disorder. Someone loving attention. How isolating Harry from his family and friends is good for his mental health is beyond me. How isolating their child from his cousins and family and his royal tradition is a good idea is beyond me. How leaving the perfect institution to raise money and do good deeds when that is what she says she wants to do and had to leave the institution for makes zero sense. Meghan has a history of cutting off her friends and family. Now Harry is encouraged to do the same and he is no doubt going out of his mind living the celebrity lifestyle which he despises. He does not look well these days. He loves the outdoors, the army pursuits the discipline and now its all about lazy days doing nothing. its very sad and although it would be great if it worked out I can't see it happening. Meghan reminds me of Paul Mccartneys ex in so many ways. the fact she left her baby in another country alone is bizarre and an act of spite. The fact she has refused to visit the queen at balmoral over the summer is horrible. this poor baby is growing up without grandparents aunts uncles of cousins. She is just not family oriented. She is Meghan oriented. I give it a couple more years and that will be it.

If they genuinely wanted to serve and help those in need then the royal family was the perfect avenue. Both fakes with big egos and so disappointed in them both as they truly could have served the world. Meghan keeps saying she wants to empower the voice of women but all she does is worry about her designer clothes, celebrities and jewels and does nothing but talk about empowerment. Her voice is silenced by her greed and ego.

Don’t bother buying it! No new information, no new photos, it’s just a rehash of everything that has already been in the news and tabloids. Total wast of time and money.

Makes the book “ Princess in Love” by Anna Pasternak look like a well written, balanced biography. Dont waste your money.

The whole book seems to be written by MM herself. Puts down the monarchy and even Harry looks like a dimwit... is nothing but a fluffy story. Lady C’s book at least is well written

Badly written, self pitying drivel.

Badly written, self pitying claptrap. If this truly is the account that Harry and Meghan wanted to present to the world then in my opinion they have shot themselves in the feet. They are shown to be mean spirited, thin skinned and spiteful. The book is right to condemn the racism shown in many press reports but the criticisms of the royal family are almost toddler like. The Queen didn't have our picture up in her Christmas broadcast, Kate didn't offer Meghan a lift. Really? If you want to read about two fully grown people who thinks the world should revolve around them ands their ideas, then this is the book for you. I dont think I will ever be able to take either of them seriously again after reading this book.

Is the author showing his feelings for the all
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 August 2020Verified Purchase
I'm tired of reading what other's skin through without pointing out the blatant fiction. I've got Lady C's book on hardback and Kindle and intend to buy another copy. However, given how there are photographs that tell a different story about their courtship. We know Omid Scobie would pick the mud off Megain's shoe's, if she demanded it. In other word's, Omid Scobie worships the ground she walks on and it is revealed in how he describes her. I'm interested in siphoning fact from fiction.
You can tell Omid worship her by describing Megain's beauty viewed by Prince Harry freckles and all, but nothing about how she viewed him and how he made her feel. I'm questioning whose feelings for Megain are in the book... are we talking about Prince Harry not wanting nowt to do with her at Inskip's wedding at opening of Invictis Games in Toronto. Photo's tell a story of a Prince that was somehow coerced into a relationship that he wasn't interested in , but possibly blackmailed into considering their constant rows.
So, I question who is really in love with her, besides herself. She has three on a rung: Markus Anderson, Prince Harry, Omid Scobie. I'm keen to see how in depth his loyalty and love is for her through his writing. Fancy describing how beautiful she appeared with her freckles and no description of what she found attractive about him suggesting she baited him with Markus Anderson help.
I want to see what else he comes out with in the book fit for a bargain bin of fifty pence. Lady C's book has a couple of area's like fake pregnancy not mentioned. Otherwise, her book is better value compared to a lovestruck or lovesick author for the female grifter.

Quite possibly all true but the spinning wheel must have been on overtime. I'm amazed that Harry and Meghan say that they haven't been interviewed. Their friends must have incredible recall of private conversations.
Maybe they weren't interviewed just like Diana wasn't interviewed for Andrew Morton's tell all book.
Great fairytale though.

Poorly written. Lacking depth and detail.

I really wanted to read this book and was happy to start it but found it often repeated itself, quite literally the sentences from one page would be replicated a few pages later.
I found it lacked detail about them as a couple and chronological order got very muddled jumping back and forth between lines of the family. As a book that was heralded as being about them as a couple I have no clue as to why o read about the Middleton’s early relationship. What that has to do with the couple leaving the royal family many years later only the authors will know.
What detail and information there is does seem oddly personal for a couple who claim not to have had any involvement with the book. I think it’s an ok read but could easily have been a much better read if it didn’t have all the fillers of other family lines. Stick to the details and it’s ok.
On the whole really disappointing after all the fanfare.

I've read the Lady CC book and now I've read this one. I suspect the truth is somewhere between the two but this book is sickly sweet and makes Meg (as H and her friends call her) to be some kind of woke Mother Theresa. It's obvious that there has been a huge amount of cooperation with the couple, probably similar to how Princess Diana worked with Andrew Morton. I just hope the authors share some of their profits because as they say in the book, both are careful with money!! Perhaps the book should have been titled Finding Freebies.
My final thought is that critics derided Lady CC's book about Princess Diana and it all turned out to be true....
