Returned it immediately after opening and inspecting. It did not have the slide zipper lock on the top zipper as shown with the two metal zipper tabs in the photo. It had a single zipper handle that was black AND COULD NOT BE LOCKED. BEWARE IF YOU BUY THIS, CHECK THIS IF YOU INTEND TO BE ABLE TO LOCK THE BAG. Fortunately, it had Free Returns.
I was looking for a replacement to my small hurricane box that is really one of those gasket lined boxes on boats. In an emergency I would scramble to different areas for this file, that birth certificate, etc. and now its all in one spot. The material feels like those duct tape wallets we used to make as kids but seems durable. The little wallet envelope thing is perfect for me because I also keep emergency cards, cash, passports and so on in my hurricane box so this is easy to put it all there inside of the big case.
I'm sort of doubting how effective these bags will be against fire/water when the zipper on the side of the larger bag arrived broken. It's like the teeth of the zipper don't lock securely. Zip it up and it gaps open. Pull the zipper the other way and the opposite end gaps open. It's defective. They are not going to be fire/water proof if the zippers keep popping open. Not happy.
I put all my important documents and extra cash in these pouches. I have not tested them for their fireproof and waterproof qualities, but I do like them for organizing my document when traveling. They are easy to hide in my carry-on luggage and in the car and hotel rooms. I feel more secure.
