Using the pictures to teach 2 year old words. Love it. The other side of the card has the word alone (without a picture). Threw away the 'Top' card, as it's not an Australian thing.
The cards that are in the pack are ok, but I'm baffled as to why there's 4/5 words beginning with some letters, such as C, and N,O,P, R,T,U, and W only have one card/word. There are no words beginning with Q, and X,Y,Z which is very frustrating. They are obviously American as you have the word 'pants' (trousers) and 'wagon' (cart) which are useless for UK kids. You couldn't use them in the classroom because of the missing words/letters, and all in all, I'm disappointed. If I'd read my review beforehand, I'd never have bought them.

Brilliant for the price! Would definitely recommend, they say age 4+ but I would say they're suitable from a lot younger. Excuse teeth marks my little one got hands on them! Arrived quickly, nice variety of basic words and pictures. Helping my little one to learn first words and have fun at the same time.

Bought these for my son and I was amazed at how interested he was in them despite all of his other toys/gadgets/cars etc. Admittedly after half an hour he was throwing them like ninja stars at the cat but every time he picks them up I’m amazed at how many he has learned. I usually give him 3 cards and ask him to pick the one I ask “where is the moon, where is the truck, where is the apple etc” and he loves it. Really great learning device for little ones preparing to speak. For the price I should have bought them sooner.
Great cards my 17 month old can now tell you the word for each one. They seem a little old fashioned though... for instance the have a picture of a toy on there... a topper? Do children even play with these anymore? And a telephone? My son has no clue what a telephone is (sadly!) They're also American as they have 'pants' for 'trousers'. Good quality though and have lasted well.
3.0 out of 5 starsWell received by child if a little Americanised

My 18 month old loves these but they are Americanised- 'pants' instead of trousers and other key words that we wouldn't really expect as a priority in the uk - pumpkin, wagon...but a great entertainment tool for spotting the content of the cards and getting them to start saying some of the words. Good for having in the nappy bag for entertaining them while waiting for things or taking travelling.
