1.) Flashlight is bright. 2.) I like the lighting options. 3.) Honestly, not quite built as sturdy as a ThruNite flashlight. But it does meet the price-point expectations. 4.) NO DETENT on the light swivel. Really? There should be some sort of detent. Not sure why the engineers didn't think of that. I'm guessing that over time, the swivel will loosen and the head won't stay put, but time will tell. -1 star. 5.) The spare gasket was loose inside of the box. I'm really not impressed with the way this flashlight was boxed when compared to other flashlights I have purchased. -1 star.
I do like that this has a magnet. I keep it stuck to my fridge ready to grab, and it's helpful when working on cars as I can shine the light right where i want it. That being said, the battery life is so atrocious that it's barely useable. I'm lucky to get maybe an hour per set? The last few months we only have used it a minute or two at a time to take our new puppy outside at night and just with that usage I've had to replace the batteries several times.
Probably works good using the AAA adapter, but I bought it to use my 18650 batteries, which fit way too losely, if the flashlight is joleted hard enough, it appears the battery loses connection between the spring and positive terminal and won't turn on, have to remove the cap and back on to make it work again. Also the flashlight was too thick and long for my preference.
For the money and features and the price It’s hard to complain Good light to have around the home and shop I did use the rechargeable battery which I already owned which did help the output significantly but all in all a decent like for the money
