The practical side of the book covers everything I can think of (in retrospect), that would be needed to making your own fertilizer and compost, raised beds, polytunnels, weed/pest protection and so on. Georgie makes the case for local production vs international imports, the business aspects and how to market / sell your produce. Really excellent and recommended.
There is little information about individual plants other than a brief description of how they grow and how best to use them in a bouquet. Not wanting to be a commercial grower myself, the constant reference to 'your customers' throughout the book became more than a bit tedious. The chapter dedicated to the subject would have been enough.
