This one got on a small nerve. There was a lot of talking. Like. This. And unnecessary yelling and babe calling. I get it the main character was going through a big change so her emotions were all over the place. But all the aggravated yelling and caps and whatnot was annoying. I also disliked how everyone kept saying the change brought on crazy mood swings, Especially for females. Like eff you not all female hormones are imbalanced. And the author is a female so she should know that's not true. There was also too much babe calling. I get it, this book is geared to the younger crowed. But there's so many more endearing words to use than the annoying overused babe. Also, these characters don't hardly know each other yet they're 'in love' and babeing. Ugh. But of course the ending was a cliffhanger so you know I'll still have to read the next one.
Okay so if you made it this far you must understand this is book two if not turn away because while i won't spoil this book book one may be spoiled for you after checking out this review Kay? Kay!
Saul. Tage. Roman. Who to pick from? Am i right?!?!?
In Frenzy, we know that Procshia was changed, but things are a little different for her and you will have to read the book to know the deets on that ;) know that this was as fast pace and exciting as the first book. it moved so well and when i was finished i was like...wait what?! yeah i was sad that it was done and i am waiting again for the next book
In this book Procshia has to fight herself, her new instincts, Dara, and of course all them boyz. Oh man if you enjoyed the first one i know you will love this one, Casey will continue to pull at your heartstrings and them puppet strings she has you by ;) we will learn new dark secrets and your loyalties will be tested! For sure!
Mysteries are solved but new ones arise as well. It will as it did in the last book break your heart and leave you yearning for more. so much more but seriously since i started writing this review to now, is the next book out yet??? ughhhhh need it now!
Casey continues to shock and wow with her amazing writing style and way to weave a story! I loved this book and if you haven't guess im eager for the next one
This book is just as wonderful as Frenzy. I can't say much because I don't want to give away spoilers but man, Porschia is going through hell, and I could feel every second of her struggle. I was hot, cold, clammy, hungry, and angry, just like she was. The ending of the book had me gasping and, had it not been 12:30 at night, I probably would have shouted, "NO!" If you loved Saul and Tage in the first book as much as I did, you will love them even more in Frantic. And Dara? And Porschia's mother? You will hate them just as much. This book is told from many POVs and it's a testament to how well it was written that I wasn't driven crazy by that. The author was able to embody each character authentically and continue the smoothness of the story despite switching these POVs.
This is a fantastic follow-up that has me eagerly awaiting the third book. You might say I'm in frantic for it...
I am truly loving how this story is playing out. The interaction between the Infected and the Night-Walkers is dynamic.
In Book One, I was all for Team Roman. Book Two had me cheering for Team Tage. There is so much to love about this vamp. Although he had selfish intentions, he has a real heart and truly cares for Porschia.
Normally, I read a book and envision my own image for the characters. Bond’s books have me thinking of real actors in the roles. Julian, a new domineering vamp, reminds me of the late Michael Clarke Duncan. Porschia reminds me of a brunette version of Leah Pipes from “The Originals”. Finally, Roman reminds me of a wonderful cross between Joseph Morgan and Daniel Gillies, also from “The Originals”.
I loved Saul, Porschia’s sacrificial lamb. He was unbelievably strong in his conviction. I especially admired how his love for Porschia never wavered.
Finally, I loved how Bond incorporated Exodus 7 -11 in her story. Creative genius!
I can’t wait to read the next book in this series!
I don't want to give anything from the future books, but this is a great new different premise. What can be better than some of my favorite genre all together, and well written! Dystopian story about people after most of humanity dies, vampire, zombies. And for young adult literature, it's well written, not too much swooning over vampires, or silly childish whining. I'm on book 3 and it really is getting good. A whole different look at zombies than I've ever read! While I hate cliff hangers normally, but the books are good enough, quite good, that I find it is okay to be forced to read the next book to continue the story! That is rare for me to say!
Casey Bond keeps bringing the suspense and I'm loving it! I don't want to put too much in this review that would spoil the book or the first one, but Frantic had me on the edge of my seat and the endings keep me wanting more! When will the next book be out? I seriously need this ASAP!
In the first book I was totally Team Saul, but then Roman came along. I didn't know him well enough, but who doesn't love a sexy vampire? I despised Tage and his wild attitude and disregard. But in this second book things changed. I still loved Saul, but I knew he wasn't right for her anymore. I also saw a different side of Tage. I despise Dara. Between the push and pull of relationships and the tensions growing in the air, this is a must read!
Frantic is the 2nd book of the Frenzy Series. I liked it, however not so much as the first book. I saw the struggle of the characters from their own point of view, which was a great addition to the book. I only give the 4 stars because even as I understand book 2 was a transitional book, connecting book 1 and 3, it dragged a bit for me. The main character kinda whined a bit too much for my liking. Nevertheless, the other characters were very well developed, I found myself wanting for more of them. I highly recommend it, the storyline is great! I couldn't wait to start reading book 3.
Porschia has turned but she's not quite right. As she does through frenzy she seems to have more control among other differences. There's a lot of fighting and drama with her and Dara. Porschia seems to have caught interest from 3 guys. The murders in the colony has been solved and other problems arise as Roman's leadership is on the line. Awesome read! Another cliff hanger though and I can't wait to read the rest!
