This isn't really what I was expecting. I was hoping to find great recipes that you could make ahead of time (like on a Sunday) and then freeze in separate containers and eat throughout the week. I know some fruits and vegetables don't freeze well so I was hoping for a compilation of the best recipes you can freeze. Instead, this has lots of recipes where you make half of the recipe, freeze it, and then finish the recipe when you're ready to eat it. I don't really get the point of that. Perhaps I didn't read the description well enough.

A little about me- we are a family of (almost) 7. I collect cookbooks, everything from your local church cookbook that you’d see at a thrift shop to the Barefoot Contessa, Nancy Silverton, etc. I’ve never picked up a cookbook before and bookmarked almost every page to try the recipe... until this book. The recipes are very family friendly and are pretty simple to make. But what makes this book amazing is the excellent photography (almost every recipe has a photo), freezing directions, and the way they’ve made the type of food we all enjoy just a little healthier. I don’t have the time to figure out those two things so I really appreciate this cookbook. We’ve tried the taco soup (husband is obsessed with it), French dip (whole family loved it), and the hash brown casserole (easy and delicious). I’m very excited to fill my freezer with more food from this book!
