I love this book through and through. it just makes vegan food you want to eat literally so accessible and tasty. I umm-ed and ahh-ed for a while due to the price, but having now invested, it's worth every penny. And that is what it is, an investment. The recipes are solid and they always turn out just right. Highly recommended.
Bought this as a late Christmas present to myself :) I am SO excited to try the recipes in this book, they all look AMAZING! Easy to follow instructions with super easy to find ingredients with so many foods that I love... Sprouts and green juices aren't really my thing, so this is a fantastic way to eat healthy home cooked vegan food. My only gripe is that I wish the oven temperatures were written in Celsius as well as Fahrenheit just so that I wouldn't have to google the conversions each time but that is the only fault and I definitely wouldn't mark her down for that. Fantastic book Sam, can't wait for the next one!
A very good vegan book for those cooking for omnivores. The author grew up on a farm, raising animals for meat, so needed to find great 'subs' for meat-based foods. The rice paper bacon recipe is fantastic, as is the marinade for 'feta' tofu (I hate tofu but this marinade makes it very palatable). Quite American (nachos, tortillas, etc) and slightly Valley Girl in presentation, but liveable-with. Always good to see a vegan cook so brimming with health.
I found this book really helpful. Lots of recognisable non-fancy meals with vegan alternative ingredients. The problem with most vegan cookbooks is they use lots of expensive and unusual ingredients. This is not one of those
I bought this book for myself when I went Vegan a year ago, every recipe (except the vanilla cake) has been yummy and so easy to make. This book is a second one that I have bought for my Vegan daughter who is just about to head off to University.
I bought many cookbooks after becoming vegan but this is the one I use 95% of the time. The recipes are always easy to follow, uncomplicated, and with regular ingredients that can be commonly found in shops. I also appreciate how there are always few ingredients needed and few steps- I'm lazy! The recipes are always delicious and my family have even deciced to eat vegan most days a week if I cook for them from this book. 10/10 would recommend!
I’ve used recipes from the author’s site many times, her seitan is especially good, and she’s always so happy and bouncy she’s sure to bring a smile to your day. I bought this book as a present for my vegan daughter. She’s tried a few recipes so far and pronounced them delicious. So now I’m going to need a copy for myself!
