I loved this fast paced, dirty talking, possessive Alpha male spin off book. We first met Giorgio in the last book of the Marchesi Family series - Devil, you don’t have to have read those books to read this one but I would recommend that you do as they are good and some of the background and side characters that are mentioned are in them.
There is a lot going on in this book that is underpinned by suspense and the steaminess between Giorgio and Lane, these two have a really hard time keeping their hands off each other, even when expressly told to. There is a little bit of angst throughout which I enjoyed. I can’t wait to read who is next to get their HEA. So worth reading.

Great start to a new seriesReviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 September 2020
This is the first book in the spin off series from The Marchesi Family. Lane is a sassy brat and Giorgio a dangerous ex-military operative. Both have their problems that they have to work through. Part of the story is a continuation from Devil's story from The Marchesi and we are getting closer to a conclusion. Love how the relationship between Lane and Giorgio develops. Looking forward to Niall's story.
Can’t finish it - Giorgio is a boreReviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 September 2020
I must admit I didn’t finish this one - sorry Silvia! I just couldn’t get into it and I really didn’t like Giorgio. He grunts and that’s about as much personality as his character has been given. He doesn’t come across as dark and sexy, he’s just mean. If this is how the other books in the Vigilance series play out, they’ll not be for me. I loved the Marchesi men so more of them please!
Gio and LaneReviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 September 2020
I’ve read a book very similar to this story, but I enjoyed it all the same and I’m looking forward to reading Niall’s story next
So Good!!Reviewed in the United States on 10 September 2020
Holy hotness ya’ll! I started fanning myself after the second chapter and I regretted having started this book when I didn’t have time to finish it all at once. I was immediately drawn into the story and didn’t want to stop! Once I was able to sit down and read through I didn’t put it down until the last word. The sexual tension between Lane and Giorgio is SO intense. Even after Giorgio loses his control with Lane, that tension is still so THERE. Gah! I loved how each man was so consumed with the other. Giorgio really tried to stay away from Lane, keep his feelings and desires in check because he couldn’t see where Lane could possibly fit within his life. He failed spectacularly in the best ways in staying away. I just loved Lane’s bratty independence. He had such a good heart and he just wanted Giorgio and couldn’t understand why he was fighting them so hard. If I could have given this more stars, I would have! I loved everything about this book, and I can’t wait for more from this series! I loved it so much I’m going back in for another read of the Marchesi Family series.
