Rhyming story about finding your own way to success at something you love - highly recommended
Reviewed in Australia on 16 July 2018
A story told in rhyme about Gerald the giraffe who can't dance. All the other animals can. There are lions who tango, warthogs who waltz, rock and rolling rhinos, chimps who cha cha and baboons who dance a scottish reel but they all laugh at Gerald and tell him that giraffes can't dance. Gerald is very sad but a friendly cricket helps him learn that when the music is just right for us we can all find our own way of dancing to our own special tune.
This is a lovely story about finding a way to do what you love no matter what others may think of you. The text has a lovely rhyme and rhythm and Guy Parker-Rees' illustrations complement the text and tell the visual story beautifully.
Highly recommended.

What a fun book!
Reviewed in the United States on 18 November 2016Verified Purchase
I think this book is fun and I enjoy reading it. The quality of material is high, the colors are bright, and the short story is fun. My son is currently 17 months and has a hard time keeping attention long enough to get through this book but he still really enjoys it. I'm sure in a couple months we will be reading through it much easier!!
