The track listing for the US release differs slightly from that of other territories. It includes the 1975 track "Over My Head" but omits the 1987 track "Seven Wonders."

Fleetwood Mac

Fleetwood Mac was founded by Peter Green in 1967 and was named after Mick Fleetwood and John McVie. After Peter Green left in 1969, Fleetwood and McVie remained as original members, and the band has since featured a cast of brilliant talents. Most notably, Christine McVie joined the band in 1970, with Stevie Nicks and Lindsey Buckingham joining in 1974. The enduring spirit of Fleetwood Mac stands for an incredible body of great music that has connected with generations of people all over the world for more than 50 years.

I'm not going to review the actual musical content of this album as I think the album speaks for itself. Anyone who hasn't lived their whole lives under a rock will know at least a handful of what is on this album. Musically it is a very enjoyable album with some proper classics on it.

For me this is one of those 'must own albums' everyone who appreciates good popular music and is a collector of physical music media on any format should own this. It's a true classic album. I've owned this on CD for many years now, but due to the current rise of vinyl again I've been building a vinyl collection for about 12 months now and decided that this is one I just had to buy brand new on the vinyl format.

Despite already owning the CD I wanted all of the vinyl benefits of this album. I consider the benefits things such as the big artwork, the sence of occasion of putting a record on and playing both sides from start to finish. Actually taking timeout to appreciate the album and taking pride in the care of these big shiny black pieces of plastic. This is one of those albums to enjoy and cherish.

If you like this album and don't already have Rumours I highly recommend it. It's even more of a collectable classic than this. I chose to get an original 1970's pressing of that one just for the authentic feel of it, my copy of Rumours is actually older than me!

This new vinyl of the greatest hits is of excellent quality, nice heavy vinyl and clear printing of the album covers. The sound quality is as bout as good as any vinyl record I've heard.

One month later still no refund!!! I have just returned to vinyl and decided to start my collection with some Fleetwood Mac. The sound was flat and sounded like it had been recorded off the radio. I thought my system might need a tweak here and there, until the last track on side one. It skipped in several places especially close to the end of the track and at the end of the song just kept skipping back as if the cutting had ended before the label edge. Very disappointed and of course will be returning it. I was told that new pressings aren't as good as the original and this record proved the point.

Concentrating on the classic Fleetwood Mac line up of Mick Fleetwood,John McVie,Christine McVie,Lindsey Buckingham and Stevie Nicks, This compilation features all Fleetwood Macs Hits from Say You Love Me back in 1976 to As Long as you Follow in 1988. Despite their troubled history Fleetwood Mac created some of the most blissful and beautiful songs and that makes this one of the best collections out there and a great introduction to a fantastic band.

Bought this to replace a lost cd after we went to see a tribute act. Its quieter than all my other cd's so have to turn the car stereo up which makes the traffic reports too loud. You cant have a "greatest" hits without "The Chain" (or for older listeners all the early chart toppers), so it fails in its description. If you haven't got "Rumours" consider buying that instead as The Chain is one of the all time greats.
