As lovely as it sounds to have explanations by the Author, these are in between the stories as 'anecdotes.' Unfortunately this ruins the flow of the stories and my children switch off when these are being said. Would recommend the same but without the anecdotes or with all anecdotes about how the stories came to be at the beginning or end. My 3 year old doesn't understand how a conversation between Author and Publisher has any bearing on the story and I find it a bit annoying too - ruins the magic of listening to stories about a cheeky dog.
