Heart Strings Audible Audiobook – Unabridged
A woman drowning in sorrow. Invisible.
The man that sees it all. Sees her.
The only thing that gets Charlotte Prescott through the day is the haunting eyes and magnetic voice that uplifts her in the subway station every evening.
All Montgomery Logan wants to do is ease the pain of the woman he feels a strange, protective draw to. He serenades her from afar, knowing their worlds will never intersect.
Until the day they do. And everything changes.
Will their differences make them stronger or tear them apart?

From those bedroom eyes, to the croon of his voice and he serenades you in the subway just to make sure you are ok, Charlotte ‘Lottie’ Prescott comes to look forward to her subway ride home every night just to hear and see the busker at her stop.
When wrong impressions of the ‘less unfortunate’ man come to light and these two hit it off, Logan helps Lottie open her eyes to the wider truth of life and to live life for herself.
There chemistry while a whirlwind is absolutely reality in this day and age and was portrayed in a way that many could related.
What made it better, that cover, what the cover meets every descriptions your leading man.... swoon....
The story brings together two people who are each other’s anchors. Both Logan and Lottie have had a lot going on in their past as well as in their present, but they seem to melt together and heal each other’s hearts. Lottie’s story is quite sad and the fact that it seems to come to such a disastrous head makes it even more poignant. You don’t have to agree with what her mother and father did to her, but you do feel sympathy for what all of them have been through.
Logan is just one of those instant boyfriends, he is sensitive, strong and caring. He takes care of Lottie the only way he knows how and that is through sheer love and protection, whether it is in his arms or through his songs.
This was a beautifully written book with some superb characters. The fact that all Logan wants to do is let Lottie shine is a testament to how well written a character he is and how much of a page turner this book is. Melanie Moreland has hit the nail on the head with this one and I can’t wait to see what else she comes up with.
ARC received for a fair, honest and sometimes long review. All opinions are my own. 😊
Lottie feels obligated to work for her family, despite the fact that she is deeply unhappy, which is only noticed by Logan a stranger who’s music eases her mind.
Lottie is hardworking, intelligent and loyal despite the fact that she is struggling emotionally, unhappy and feels unloved.
Logan is a protective, caring and sexy alpha and the connection between this pair is intense.
Overall an enjoyable romance from Melanie Moreland.
"He was the only thing I lived for these days. Even if he didn't know."
A subway, music and two lost and lonely people are drawn together by the need of friendship. Logan notices Lottie one night as she makes her way through the subway and pauses to listen to him play his guitar. He makes a point of being there each night, just to play for her, hoping for a chance to get to know her more. Over time a friendship develops, one that strengthens deeply with every moment they spend together. Logan wants to ease the pain that he sees in Lottie's eyes, he wants to care for her, protect her, love her.
"I knew I could no longer simply be the voice and song in the background. Her eyes told me she needed me to be more than that. I needed to be more than that."
Lottie and Logan were meant to be together ... they were soulmates. They tended to each other's heart and soul. Both needed the love and support that they hadn't been able to find elsewhere. My heart broke for Lottie, here was a woman living a life she never wanted, to get the love she always needed, yet never received. It only took one man to show her the love and true happiness she always deserved. I fell for Logan the moment he was introduced, and my love for him grew the more I learnt about him. He was so sexy, and the way he cared for Lottie just melted my heart.
"How much do you love her?" "With my entire soul."
Melanie Moreland has written an exquisite love story that will remain with me for a long time.

So much emotion in this story, I'm still buzzing. Miss Moreland has a way of making you feel right along with her characters.
Logan and Lottie are made for each other. They both suffered loss in their life, but have taken a different approach to moving on with their life.
Logan is very much the alpha male hero but not in the typical guise. He is softly spoken, living his life his way. There is no high power job or suit. He's been through so much but has come back stronger with the life he wants.
Lottie is a strong heroine, but her life is dominated by obligation and guilt over something she had no control over. She is struggling with a life she never wanted. Trying to atone when she done nothing to atone for.
From their first meeting in the subway their relationship is intense, passionate and fast moving. Giving them both what they have longed for, a family and a sense of belonging.
