A friend recommended this book. It is a fantastic resource for children and as a teaching resource. It covers the confrontational and uncomfortable issue of anxiety in detail but in simple easy to read and understand language. If educates the reader about what it is, what happens in our body and how to manage it. Beautifully written supported with illustrations as the story unfolds leaving the reader empowered by the end of the journey.

This really is a great book that explains the physiology of anxiety in child-friendly terms. The only complaint that I have is the price. I am used to paying $30+ for books and workbooks with much more content. This book only has 16 pages.

Just the right amount of science and emotion

I was skeptical. It was a lot of money, but the reviews were good. This book explains anxiety in a way that anyone, even an anxious kid, can understand. On top of explaining what is happening, to goes on to give some excellent suggestions on how to cope, and the reasons why they should work. It managed to make my 10 year old daughter feel less "different" by explaining how her brain works. She now has a plan for how to cope with an anxiety attack, and is practicing frequently.

Great explanation of anxiety.

I’m a counselor and I use this to explain anxiety to young clients. It does a really good job of that. I’ve also shared it with adults who found it to be very helpful. It’s my go-to book on this subject. I broke my own rule and lent it someone who did not return it. I bought a second copy and this ones not leaving my office.
