After reading a book by Dr Bruno First in the early 80s, I became interested in ways of remembering, or mnemonics. This book includes a technique for remembering numbers, ( called the Major System in the previous book), as well as the Room System, Link and Peg. One aspect of memory that is 'forgotten' in books like this, is what I would call 'remembering to remember', eg, to know when to buy a birthday card in good time, even if you remember the actual date. Though aimed primarily at children, the tips are useful for all ages.
