Easy to read...hilariously written...when I first read it out loud to my children, there were tears rolling down our faces we laughed that hard.
Wonderful story of a little girl living in a fairly non religious/observant household who "rediscovers" part of her heritage in an attempt to find the meaning of Chanukah. While her friends get all the "cool" stuff at Christmas time, she finds a way to draw in her community of friends and make it Chanukah a wonderful time for her family and friends. If you are ready for a laugh and a light sweet story this is it! :)
Caution: The only "caution" I would add is that there are two pages in here where the main character and her friend go into a bathroom to do a "seance." They get ousted, and do no go through with it...but I do so dislike the brining in of occultish themes. That being said, I just warn those who are conservative to skip those pages and the rest of the book is a delight. :)
