Yes it say's 79 sq/m in the title, but this is going to be a maximum, so please don't assume you will automatically get this. If your water pressure is a bit on the weak side, and factors like your hose diameter, tap diameter, copper piper diameter, isolating valve diameter will also play a part in how much flow is getting to the sprinkler too. Think of it like the miles per gallon stats on cars, they are tested in optimum conditions, probably a bit like the 79 sq/m figure quoted on this!
I would say we have "normal" pressure and I probably get around a 30 sq/m coverage out of this, it's noticeably better than my previous sprinkler, but this is only a bit of plastic and will not suddenly double the water pressure your getting.
I can’t say enough how I regret paying the extra for this when I should of bought a cheap one. Let me also add the hose I’m using is also Hozelock and the water source is strong.
It's fairly reasonably priced when compared with to other Hozelock branded products.
It advertises coverage of 79m2 which I would take with a pinch of salt. My entire back garden area is about 80m2 with the lawn only being about 65m2 and on the setting with the highest coverage, it might give the extremities of my lawn a light sprinkling of water, but not enough to effectively water it.
I have deducted one star because the instructions (or lack of) do not make it clear what the different settings are. I had to spend 5 minutes turning the hose on and off walking to and from the sprinkler to test each setting to select the best one for my lawn.
from head to foot including my glasses so I couldn't see the tap to turn off the water!!! Having now learnt to master it, it is an excellent little sprayer for my small garden.
It sprays water out on each setting about 2 feet maximum. Nothing wrong with my hose as the other one works fine so guess this is of poor quality
Unfortunately it doesn't go anywhere near this, so these figures are probably based on ideal conditions (strong water pressure, no hose etc). I found myself having to move it around to make sure the garden received it's share, which usually ended up with a soaking! There was no spinning feature, so water would only hit a certain amount of grass in each location
In hindsight, I should have paid a bit more, but will probably never need to use it again
I have a relatively small lawn area, and a strong powerful water pressure, but coverage is a joke. You really would be better standing and holding your thumb over the end of the hose. Needless to say it was returned.
Enjoy a cuppa while this attachment does the watering for you.
Unless you have a high pressure system this thing just trickles out.
I attempted to use it on all the different settings and none of them performed well, they all just sprayed water out by about 30cm and didn’t spin.
After one use it’s been gathering dust and cobwebs in the corner of my garage. I bought the traditional oscillating swinging arm sprinkler thingys from hozelock instead -
much better for a low pressure system.
