In this review, I will compare this to my £20 Turtle Beaches that I had for 3+ years before.
First, the sound. It's great. Quite a bit better than my other headphones, with good bass at all volumes, whereas cheaper headsets will have low bass until you crank the volume up to an unhealthy volume. There is a little volume control wheel which is easy to find by feel without taking the headphones off, but also isn't so easily found that touching your headphones has a risk of chaning the volume on accident. I did not buy this headset with noise cancellation in mind, so I wouldn't want to lower its rating for that, but it doesn't have any. The only noise cancellation is the fact that your ears are covered by the headset, which does less for noise cancellation than gently putting your hands over your ears.
While it's not insanely comfortable, it does the job. I wear glasses, so maybe that's just how it is with all headphones, but I wish they would accommodate for that, as I wish could be the case with all headphones. Minus points, however, for advertising "comfortable memory foam", as it does not make a difference. My old headphones were just as comfortable.
They will stay on your head, quite a bit easier than my older, flimsier headset. Just make sure to adjust to a smaller size if they do feel loose.
The microphone... it's disappointing. That's all I can say for it. At 3.5x the price of my old headset, only really having an additional cost of a 1000mAh battery (Not high capacity or high quality, as they would have advertised that!) and a tiny wireless receiver, the microphone is absolutely not worth the price. First thing my friends said on call was "What the hell happened to your microphone?", which is embarrassing to say the least at this price, especially compared to, again, my 3 year old £20 headset. It's also not in a position where I am comfortable knowing my voice is being detected (Closer to my cheek than my mouth) so I feel the need to talk louder, though this may just be a preferance, as I can imagine a microphone you cannot see and is out of the way could be preferred by some.
Lastly, the battery life seems adequate. Lasts me a whole day, with some quiet periods, but never turning off the headset. It has a little indicator light which tells you which quarter of battery life you are in, though it seems to be badly calibrated, as it tells me I'm at 50-75% after about 30-60 minutes of use, after having charged them all night, then they last 3-5 hours before going down to 25-50%, and even at <25%, they seem to last a few hours before actually needing a charge. They have not failed me in a 16 hour day (Great for the quarantine!), and are rated for 17 hours at 50% volume, which I'm lead to believe.
Overall, it's a trusted brand which you can't go wrong with for this price, where you may have to gamble with a lesser-known name brand for a product which may or may not work for long. That being said, large compromises were made, rather than settling for a little less profit, in order to make this product the price it is, with some inexcusible quality in some parts, where just a little extra effort would've earned them an extra star on this review.
