I bought this to place under a wooden platform for a doll house. After some discussion, we figured out how to attach it and it works beautifully. A few directions would help. The mechanism is smooth and the finish is excellent. If you are going to place it under glass, it definitely won't detract from the object you are displaying. I am very happy with it.

Overall this is a good item for the price. The issue is the bearings are not tightly packed and the inner ring is too small, giving about 3mm of slack. Tolerances could be much better, but for the price it is reasonable.

It moves well and is very quiet. There is about a half mm of play, but it is within tolerance for my application.

The holes were ever so slightly out of round, but I was drilling new holes anyway. It would have been fine for most applications.

There is silver paint over the entire thing, and it does not stick to the aluminum at all. It flakes off just touching it and gets everywhere. I used masking tape to just pull it all off, I will clean the bearings and re-grease it.

Silver paint on aluminum. Why???
