I have four of these controllers three on fermenting fridges and one as rotational spare. For the price, these controllers are an excellent buy. The instructions can be a bit daunting at first. Just play around with it for a bit and you will see what it can do or just plug it in and set the temperature you require then connect the fridge to it. It will then cycle the fridge keeping to the temperature you have set. If you need a temperature controller for a fermenting fridge or lagering fridge this is the one I would recommend.

1.0 out of 5 starsRETURNING FOR REFUND
Reviewed in Australia on 23 November 2020
Purchased around mid November 2020 for fixing a florist fridge with a broken thermostat.

Worked well with regular cutting out a 4C and cutting in at 6C, and I initially put in 5 stars.

On or about 11 February 2021, I notice the fridge was running at 9.5C and slowly rising.

On investigation I found ice on top of the water, it has gone below zero, A DISASTER FOR FLOWERS ESPECIALLY ON VALENTINES DAY WEEK.

MANY FLOWERS DEAD, so I have reduced star rating to 1, as I cant't put in ZERO.

Removed the Inkbird and the fridge now runs properly, but without cutting out, which now has to be done manually.

I HAVE RETURNED IT FOR A REFUND !!!

Amazon are handling the refund efficiently & promptly with no hassles.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for money and has everything you need

I use this for home brew temperature regulation and it worked well. It takes a bit of time to find the best settings for things like the Cooling Delay and Heating Delay (depends on your equipment) but once you do, it's very much 'set and forget'. My only complaint would be that the manual is written in translated English so is sometimes a little confusing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Use Inkbird ITC308 to convert normal bar fridge into dedicated red wine fridge
Reviewed in Australia on 5 February 2021

I have a good bar fridge that was suitable to keep beer and sparking wine at 4C, but I wanted to store fine red wine at 18C and the bar fridge could not work at that high a temperature. By Placing the Inkbird ITC308 sensor/thermostat into the bar fridge and then placing the power plug from the bar fridge into the cooling plug of the Inkbird ITC308 I ended up being able to keep all my fine red wine at 18C, without having to spend several thousand dollars on a wine fridge. The Inkbird ITC308 seems to be very ideal for this type of purpose even though it was built to control green houses. The product is high quality and it is resonable priced, however the price would even be better if we saw it priced in AUD dollars and not USA dollars.

5.0 out of 5 stars A good control solution

I'm using this unit to control a dumb "portable" aircon in my bedroom. The AC unit has no temperature control, so it runs until I get too cold at night and turn it off. This Inkbird controller unit solves this much more cheaply than spending $400+ on a new AC when the one I have works quite adequately.
Come winter, I will probably try it on my convection heater which has a mechanical temp sensor with a much wider on/off temperature cycle.
My main criticism is that the "set" action should be emphasised in the instructions... "PRESS SET BUTTON FOR 3 SECONDS TO SAVE PARAMETERS" IN BOLD CAPS!
Five Stars!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good temperature control and good customer service

Fairly easy to set up and use. Warms and cools to the temperature we set and is working well for five months at the time of writing this review. Speeds up the germination process really well, just needed to have lights once they did germinate (but that’s something we didn’t think of at the time)

Great customer service, received an email from the company checking in to make sure everything was going well with the product and to let us know we can contact them with any issues as we have a one year warranty.

I have had no issues with this unit which has worked perfectly from the start. Easy to use and seems well built and sturdy. I think it will last and is a good buy if your in the market. I use mine for controlling the temperature on a fermentation fridge and it has worked a treat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple easy way to create a controlled temperature environment for proofing bread.
Reviewed in Australia on 9 June 2020

I used this to create a small box to keep a constant temperature for proofing sourdough bread. I just plugged a small lamp into this, put the lamp in an ice chest, and set the temperature ranges appropriately. It works like a charm, and I have a small proofing cupboard for a very minimal investment. It took a couple of minutes to read the manual and figure out how to set the control points - but it was not difficult to get the device working as I need it. The device arrived quickly, and has functioned perfectly. Very happy with the purchase

So far, so good. I purchased this for a homebrew setup. I want to regulate the temperature of my wort. It's been excellent so far, super easy to use and seems to do exactly as I wanted and expected.
It's only been a week and my first brew so can't give a review on reliability just yet.

5.0 out of 5 stars The inkbird has made the impossible, possible.

Very easy to use. I have seven inkbirds and one other that I paid a lot more money for. I don't use the other at all. Some inkbirds are used on fridges for cheese making. Works perfectly. Others are used in brood boxes, unfortunately to many other variables, such as wind etc. If they were in a closed in shed there would be no problem at all. My newest project is to run a fridge at 26° for seed germination.

I have used this product for my most recent brew when i set this to ferment it was a funny to brew as it can be too cold at night and too hot during the day, this kept the temp at 16C constant.

When it came for cold crashing it it was perfect, not longer guessing at what temp the fridge should be, just set it and off we go.

note: if you have a power cut remember to reset the temp
