5.0 out of 5 stars Reliable as expected from Intel
Reviewed in the United States on 3 June 2018
I initially had a Killer Wifi 1535 WiFi card in my Dell XPS 15 (9570) and it was horrendous. The connection would always take a good minute to connect when the computer was first booted. After it connected, it tended to drop the signal even though it was literally within arm's length from the router. Furthermore, the connection speed varies greatly. Sometimes it was fast and sometimes it was egregiously slow; you just never knew what you were going to get in terms of consistency (upload/download speed and stability).

This Intel card, on the otherhand, simply just works. That's usually the theme with the Intel WiFi cards, sure the newer ones have a slightly updated version of bluetooth, or the range is increased to some extent, or the download and upload speeds have been boosted, but the bottom line is, it just works and as it should. Great job Intel for providing hardware at a competitive and very fair price (at least in terms of their WiFi cards, for their other products, it's debatable).

Okay folks, if you are getting this, then you are prepared to disassemble something, whether that's a laptop or a PC motherboard, you are going to be dealing with some small screws. Let me tell you this. Once you are done and you've hooked the antennas back up, you will be IMPRESSED. My motherboard came with an AC3200 series Intel WiFi card and it capped out at 80 Mbps, I swear it was throttled. After I got this beast installed. I'm only limited by my cable company. I'm currently pulling 460-480 Mbps and I'm only setup for the 400 Mbps service. This is an amazing card.
