Scam. I thought he was gonna talk about his life... hang on ... he did! Jokes are his life.
Not bad after all, prefer his awkwardness as an actor though.

And You Want To Be My Latex Salesman?Reviewed in Canada on 23 October 2020
When I saw an interview with Jerry Seinfeld and Steve Martin talking about this book I had hoped that it would have been more similar to Steve Martin's book Born Standing Up. In Martin's book he describes his early life, work at various venues in magic, banjo and stand up comedy. Is This Something? Well it's transcripts of the stand up material. And that's good fun. Each section gives a brief story or moment to set up the era, but it's pretty light on personal stories and any perspective of the time. It just gives you the material. It's good material. Don't get me wrong. I'll probably share the book with friends who love comedy as much as I do, but it is really just transcripts of the matieral.

This ain't exactly a memoir, but it was fun reading and listening.Reviewed in Canada on 10 October 2020
Jerry Seinfeld's new book, "Is This Anything?" is literally the closest thing I can relate to a, "what if books had expansion packs?" If you've read "SeinLanguage" it is that book with added jokes. Still funny, still thought provoking, and still iconic. It does have autobiography aspect, but it's in the jokes themselves, so if you're expecting a memoir similar to Billy Crystal's Still Foolin' You, then this isn't that at all. The one thing I will say is that I did follow along with the audio book, and I gotta say it's like Jerry is telling you every joke in this book. I think if you want to hear Jerry tell you a few jokes then I suggest the audio book over reading it as I feel our imagination of how we interept how he'll tell his stories does not compare to listening to him. It's those little details that makes jokes funny.

It is primarily just a script of his stand up routines.Reviewed in Canada on 5 November 2020
If you can imagine him saying the lines in his inimitable style, you can enjoy the humor but it is less than I had anticipated.

Reading jokes isn't the same than see it performedReviewed in Spain on 25 November 2020
If you want to have a book with Seinfeld's best jokes, that's the book for you. But reading the material isn't the same as watching Jerry Seinfeld performed it. Not even close!
