Comparing with Apple smart cases this case Does not cover entire iPad edges

The case works and seems to protect it, but the build and quality are really nasty and the inside fabric feels awful. If you are going to spend thousands of dolars on an iPad like this one, get a better case that feels nicer.

Quite happy with the product. As described. Works and fits well. The inside part that covers the screen is soft but it could be even softer I think. Still no problems at all.

Very good to go with my iPad, positive experiences with the protection. However, the inner side of the cover would be dirty if it is on bed or couches.

The Ipad Pro 2nd Gen case seems durable and well made in terms of appearance and fit. The only issue it does not support smart sleep/wake despite description states it does.

I have to agree with the other positive reviews here. JEDirect have managed to produce a good looking case for the 12.9" iPad Pro for a very reasonable price. Yes, it adds around 300g to the weight of the device, but in return you get peace of mind that your iPad screen and back are protected, plus the ability to prop up the iPad at two different angles. At work, in meetings, the low angle is handy for me to use the iPad unobtrusively.
As to build quality, so far I'm happy. The back shell has a high-quality 'softer-touch' coating that feels good, and the front cover looks like a good quality plastic/vinyl, with a thin protective backing to protect the screen. The integral magnet works to switch on/off the iPad when opening/closing the cover.
Compared to my wife's £65 case from Apple for her 9.7", the leather materials in that case look and feel classier, but it's not worth 6.5x the cost, and Apple's solution for the 12.9" iPad Pro (£65 case plus separate £49 cover) is corporate greed writ large.

Sturdy, well built, good value case, but smells a bit fishy
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 17 September 2019Colour: Dark GreyVerified Purchase
A nice cover, well worth the money, bad for me.
It seems to have improved the long standing issue with the intermittent non-sensitive touch screen of iPad pro, still happens but seems to be less frequently.
Other benefit is it acts as a stand for the iPad too.
Only down side is if you smell the Flexi front cover, the material smells like dead dried fish. Luckily you only really notice it if you place it right up to your nose.
Pros
- cheap
- smooth quality feel to cover, sturdy
- seems to improve the touch screen insensitivity issue of the iPad pro
- can act as a stand
Cons
- smells a bit like dried fish
- add 330g to the weight of the ipad
Update August 2020: thought I'd give this a quick update almost a year on... Well I can safely say the fishy smell has long gone and that the case is still working fine as both a stand and a case. Wear and tear is non existent with the case as good as it was when I first bought it. Definitely worthy of 5 stars.

Nearly Perfect Case
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 January 2017Colour: BlackVerified Purchase
I have used Jetech before with my ipad cases as I like their designs and feel they provide well made products. With this case I was not let down and after nearly a year of use it is still working perfectly.
======= How does it work =======
The iPad slots onto the bottom compartment which is made from a strong, solid, matte silicon, it is tight fitting and does not increase the size of the iPad too much. I have had no problems accessing any of the buttons and installation was easy. The cover for the front is attached by a hinge (you don't need to click it in place or add it), this is a material hinge with no working parts but it is a solid one none the less. This folds over the front of your iPad and shuts via a magnet ensuring that it will not open accidentally, this magnet also acts as a locking device so by closing the lid you will lock your iPad - it will also work vice versa and wake your iPad when you open it. The front is split into three parts which allow you to use it as a stand. It can be used as a more vertical stand you can use to watch films or tv shows, the angle is good but you will not be able to adjust it. You can fold it the other way so it is flatter and better for leaning on if you are drawing on it - I use this one quite frequently.
======= Stylus? =======
For those who want somewhere to keep their stylus stored away in the case, sadly this case does not come with that option; but it would be a welcome addition in the future.
======= Conclusion =======
This is a great case and after heavy use for nearly a year it is still working great, the magnet is still holding strong and none of the joints have showed any wear or tear. For this price you can't argue with its functionality too much even though a stylus holder would have sealed the deal. I would recommend this to anyone.

Magnetic closure doesnt really work
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 23 May 2019Colour: Dark GreyVerified Purchase
I always place my ipad upright on it's side leaning diagonally against something when charging so as to not allow it to get hot, etc.
This case, unlike my previous one, falls open and the screen turns on. The genuine Apple and other aftermarket ones I have tried feel like they are more secure in their magnetic screen sticking/closure.
I guess this might not be an issue if you don't place your ipad on its side, but when carrying and walking it often flops open and I think if you dropped it, the screen would become exposed just before it hits the ground! Not ideal

You won’t go wrong with this case.
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 21 April 2018Colour: Dark GreyVerified Purchase
I’ve read a lot of reviews about this product, both positive & negative. I’m going to be honest, this case is very similar to the 4th gen iPad covers. smart covers. I previously owned a smart case from Apple which I used on a 4th gen iPad. The difference between them (other than a logo) is that this has a hard back and not a soft leather back. This is a good thing, in my experience this tends to be the area of wear and tare. I ended up repairing that case and eventually replacing it, as the material became worn and split.
The texture/grip is excellent, the iPad doesn’t want to slip out of your hands or move on a flat surface when typing or drawing.
I’ve read some reviews saying it’s not like the official case and that’s correct. The ones that are sold by Apple which retail between £59 to £79 (€67 to €90) only cover the front of the screen and connect to the magnetic contacts on the side. So the back of your iPad is not protected. That’s a lot of money for what basically is a screen protector.
I wouldn’t like to drop my iPad with this case however that’s the trade off for such a slim case. However I don’t take mine out of the house so it’s not a concern to me or every will be.
It’s priced right, good material, slim and light. Plus a life time warranty if you register within 14days.
