Impossible to attach without bubbles!

This is my second JETech tempered glass screen protector. I was reasonably happy with the first one, except that there was a bubble at the bottom left corner of the screen which never went away. But since it was sitting just under the display, it didn’t bother me. However, the second one is a nightmare! I have detached and re-attached it at least 20 times (I have detached it so many times that even the adhesive is torn at the corner now), making sure everything is clean, but it is IMPOSSIBLE to avoid the huge bubbles! I only managed to get rid of the large bubbles on the left side of the screen after many attempts, but the enormous one at the bottom left corner simply wouldn’t budge and it is large enough to intrude into the display, which is very annoying. I have tried all methods I have found online to push the bubble away, to no avail. Very unhappy.

I'll preface this by saying at the same time as I ordered this, I also ordered the same product for a 9" Ipad. I must say full points for that one, I was very happy with how that played out, but this is not a review on the iPad protector.

Having applied the iPad one first, I moved that aside and opened this packet. Packaging is very good, unlike previous protectors I've received from other sellers, that have arrived cracked, the JETech protectors arrived snug and safe.
Instructions are very comprehensive and the steps are made as clear and simple as possible. The first step is to use an alcohol based wipe to clean the screen, which was provided with the iPad protector, but was not in this pack. I'm not sure if this is an oversight at the factory of if every iPhone pack is the same. I ended up using my glasses cleaner spray. Following this, a good wipe over with the provided microfibre cloth and we're looking pretty good. The next bit I haven't seen included in a tempered glass kit before, a clear sticky backed sheet to lay over the screen and pick up any stray bits of dust or lint etc. I would normally use sticky tape but nice to see this included in the pack.
There are 2 tabs to attach to the protector to assist with aligning it. This keeps it free of coming in contact with your fingers, and makes it much easier to line up before laying down on the screen. I found however that the tabs needed to be a bit stickier, because they began to peel off the protector before I got it laid down. Once it was down I found that one corner of the protector wasn't in full contact of the screen. I've done my best to persuade it down but now 1 week down the track and it hasn't improved. The rest of the screen looks brilliant and the protector has saved the phone from a couple of drops already but that corner just looks a bit ugly by being partially lifted. I'm not sure how this occurred because I definitely didn't lift that corner while fitting it to the screen. At least a second protector comes in the pack so when I get around to it I'll swap the second one on there, then it won't bug me so much.

These screen protectors really do protect the screen, although they aren't as tough as I would have liked, with a small drop on to a chair leg (don't ask me how) it managed to get two cracks running in line with where the chair hit. But at the same time that is what it's there for, absorbing the shock and protecting the screen, and if it does have to be replaced after a drop because it saved the phone, so be it! The screen protector is easy to clean and very smooth, very pleasant to use, they are also very easy to apply.

This I believe, is the best screen protector I’ve ever bought. It comes well packaged/presented. Good instructions and added extras. Comes with the usual cleaning cloth but also comes with an extra screen ‘sticker’ to remove dust prior to applying the protector and also additional tapes, to secure the screen before finally placing the protector on the phone. This is the first protector that I’ve applied, that goes on perfectly and has no air bubbles or anything! It’s perfect (looks like the genuine glass phone screen) and great value too!

Be aware off stray fibres from your jumper!

Arrived very quickly (previous orders have always arrived quickly), this time the protectors were for a 5SE. After following the normal cleaning instructions I managed to fit the protector with a stray fibre from my jumper 🙁, so I removed the protector and again went through the instructions (you can also use sellotape which allows you to cover the whole screen with multiple strips which I find easier) and with out wearing my jumper I fitted the second protector with no issues, no trapped air bubble 😃

had a few protectors, smashed a few as well. this had the best cleaning system i've used and was easy to fit thanks to the guide strips. not broken it yet but there are two in the pack, result for the price!

Update!!!!! managed to lose my phone which got run over then handed in to the school where i lost it. This glass was smashed, you could see around 20 impact points where the gravel had been crushed into the screen. I heard the worst but when this glass was removed the screen was untouched. Seriously impressed for the price, quality is top notch. Don't even think about it just buy it. Two quid per glass versus whatever an iPhone screen costs is a no brainer, even the risk of getting repaired on the high street scares me. So thank you JETech I will be buying every phone I get in future.

I've purchased four of this brand of glass screen protector for various devices over the last couple of months. Each has arrived in strong packaging and complete with a full set of installation instructions. Also included is a micro-fibre cleaning cloth and various stickers that assist with placing the screen protector on the device. I've found the installation to be incredibly easy to do and not once experienced any issues with air bubbles etc. If I've not quite lined the protector up correctly, I've been able to gently remove it and re-apply. These protectors fit perfectly and don't spoil the look of the device. Excellent value for money and an assurance against expensive screen damage

A touch of glass!

I’ve used a number of different glass screen protectors over the years and I find these ones to be particularly good. Once in place they offer a very smooth surface which is highly protective of the screen - they actually improve on the original screen in my opinion.
Of course the issue with any screen protector is getting it on the screen without any bubbles! The bubbles are caused by minute dust particles or by not getting the screen protector in place accurately. So the secret is to follow the instructions in the pack to the letter - I know this work because I’ve done it a number of times. In practice I have my own method which is quicker and less fiddly. First I polish the screen thoroughly using a well known brand of household spray cleaner/polish which shines umpteen things clean! Then I clean with the little yellow square fibre free cloth in the kit and then use the blue sticky plastic provided with the protector to give the original screen a good final dust removal. Then I remove the backing from the screen protector and holding the edges of the screen protector I locate it a few mm above the screen, line up the home button and speaker slots and then let go - it drops into place and you can watch as it adheres to the original screen, very satisfying! I do it this way as it’s quicker but I recommend you follow manufacturers instructions. I can take no responsibility for you using my method - on your head be it 😀! Overall I highly recommend these screen protectors - they are thicker than most, which is a good thing.
