To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
There's no tricks here. This product is exactly what it says it is. The lock is simple, but enough to keep two boys (who keep "borrowing" each others money) out it. I track their accounts in & out with little envelopes inside. The lock is only 3 digits and it rotates easily and there's protection enough from shifty little hands.
Read other reviews to see how it's smaller than US money. The lock jammed up on my son within hours of setting his combination. We did it correctly; the locking mechanism is just crap.
UPDATE - The seller contacted me as a follow-up to the sale and asked how things were going. I informed the seller about the lock and the seller sent me another cash box free of charge. I originally gave the product a one-star review. I bumped it up because of the excellent customer service. Others have complained about the service; try contacting them to resolve the issue. They apparently know their locks suck.
I bought this to replace a cheap lockbox in my classroom. I use them as part of an escape room activity so it took a beating and needed to be replaced. So far, this one has held up well. The kiddos were not able to break into it without the code which says a lot about it’s durability. My only complaint is that there’s a piece of metal on the inside near the lock that isn’t filed down well and has scratched my hand before.
Purchased this for my son who needed a safe place to keep his allowance money and is learning how to count his dollar and cents. I like the removable tray, a good place to keep coins and then we place the bills underneath. It's a sturdy box with a nice bold blue color. Setting the combination and locking it was simple enough. I like the 3 digit code because it is not too overwhelming for a child to remember. I'm thinking of buying more to store foreign currency I have from other countries so I can keep it all those coins organized and safe!
There’s definitely much better out there. The lock doesn’t work well. We programmed it and still doesn’t work. Would not buy again. I’m noticing so many price increases but the products are crappier than ever. This has limited my Amazon spending and I prefer to go to the stores more.
I store my medicine in here to make sure there's never a terrible accident where my young daughter or a guest get to it. It gives me peace of mind. It was easy to setup the lock combo and I feel relieved to have my meds locked away in it.
My grandson fogot the combination. Very hard to contact the company. Finally got thru (they were very prompt) and was promised a replacement. It has been 4 weeks...no action. We just broke the lock and. Will continue to use it. Promises not kept ate worse than poor service.
Its a small, economy-grade lockbox. Good for kids and keeping honest people honest. I'm sure a determined teen or adult with something as simple as a screwdriver (or rock) could bust it open, if they wanted.
Got this for an escape room challenge for my classroom. I opened it up today and reset the combination, and it worked for a few hours. Went to make sure it was all set for tomorrow, and it won't open. I planned for the escape room activity to be tomorrow, but now we can't do it, as the materials are locked inside! So disappointed and such a waste of money.
