Robot Arm for Arduino IDE

KEYESTUDIO 4DOF Full Metal Robot Arm Mechanical Robotic Clamp Claw Kit can do a lot of things.

It is compatible with Arduino IDE and can be controlled in more than one way.

It's totally open source so you can extend more self-defined functions and operations.

The Robot arm Kit for Arduino is designed for mass hobbyists to learn robot arm control.

With the open source MCU and a servo expansion board, the robot arm is easy to use and full of fun.

You can control its four axes by the 4 potentiometer buttons, as well as make them move on your computer.

In addition, it can memorize the movements it's made and repeat again and again, making it a great tool for repeated tasks.

Note:

The servo servo is mounted on the robot arm. The structure has a certain range of motion, which may be smaller or larger than the range of the servo servo. This kit not include batteries, you need to bring your own 2 18650 batteries.

When debugging, be careful not to block the motor. Pay special attention to this when debugging the manipulator claw.

Pay attention to the line sequence when connecting the servo motor to the controller. Do not insert the wrong positive and negative poles.

The control line of the servo servo: usually red is positive, black or brown is negative, yellow or white is the signal line.

This is a great project for Arduino beginners and experienced alike. The arm materials are well engineered and hold servos effectively.

There is a very extensive wiki with all the instructions and code to get you started. Took me an evenings session to get it running smoothly, but that's half the fun with projects like this.

Make sure you align the servos correctly during build, will save you some effort later.

Measurements were wrong. Pins worked great, despite being bent. Good programming/coding challenge for newbies. Just don't expect it to pick anything up without replacing a bolt or two. Reciprocal gear wouldn't sit on the driver gear because the M8 bolt was not an M8 bolt.
Took this review down as I was promised a product to review that never turned up. Shan't be making the same mistake again!

Questo braccio robotico offre occasione di imparare non solo a costruire il braccio stesso ma anche a programmare arduino!
CONFEZIONE: semplicemente impeccabile. Tutti i componenti sono impacchettati uno ad uno dento una scatola o dentro ad una bustina. Nella scatola si trovano oltre alle componenti del braccio e del joystick, anche un cacciavite e una piccola chiave inglese che sono necessarie per assemblare i pezzi. Ci sono inoltre due fogli con le indicazioni per andare sul sito dove ci sono tutte le istruzioni per il montaggio. L'unica pecca è l'assenza di batterie DA COMPRARE A PARTE.
MONTAGGIO: questo è il primo kit che costruisco ma non l'ho trovato difficile da costruire. Ci sono alcune parti che richiedono un po' d'impegno ed è molto utile avere dei propri cacciaviti e mi sono state utili anche delle pinze. Il sito wiki è abbastanza chiaro anche se ho messo un po di fatica per fissare dei bulloni auto-bloccanti. Una volta montato è solida come struttura ma tende a sbilanciarsi se si fanno movimenti troppo bruschi col braccio. Mi raccomando attenzione quando si inseriscono i cavi dei servo nello shield dell'arduino che se sbagliate verso rischiate di bruciarli.
CODICE: I codici sono fatti molto bene e si trovano sul sito della keyestudio. La cosa fantastica di questo braccio è che si può comandare con tre modi diversi e quindi ci sono altrettanti codici. Io adoro il bluetooth e quindi ho iniziato da quello e l'applicazione da scaricare sul telefono fatta da loro funziona.Per trovarla basta scrivere keyestudio arm robot. Molto semplice da usare: basta cliccare sul tasto CONNECT e si trovera subito un HM qualcosa. Cliccateci sopra e una volta che dice di essere connesso si puo tornare indietro e iniziare a muovere! Un altro modo di comandarlo è il joystick incluso nel kit che a mio dire ha molto stile solo che mettere tutti i cavi nell'arduino è un po complicato. Ho provato anche quello è funziona bene. Peccato che non ho testato il funzionamento del joystick della ps2 perché non lo ho, ma presto lo proverò.
CONCLUSIONE: Per il suo prezzo è fatto molto bene e il materiale è ottimo. sicuramente regala divertimento. Adatto a tutti i ragazzi che vogliono conoscere arduino e imparare l'elettronica ma non sanno da dove iniziare. Per trovare le batteria basta contattare il servizio clienti. Consigliato.
