Sorry to the authors who currently hold my top 5 for favorite UF/PNR, one of you has to go because there's a new girl in town!!! Casey Bond is kicking one of you out!!!
This is my first book by Miss Bond and I still on a high from her writings. The best part though???Its not over....there's a second book!!!! ***squeal***
What I loved about Keeper of Crows:
Absolutely Everything!!!! But to be more specific....
- Carmen. I connected with her right from the beginning. I knew that she was going to be a strong female character. That she would be able to hold her own. Even in the beginning when she didn't seem to have any redeeming qualities, she pulled me right in.
- The Keeper. Holy hot damn!! Dark and dangerous. A bit of a jerk. Perfect!
- The Plot - So different from the usual UF/PNR. Casey's descriptions of Purgatory are wildly imaginative in a dark, yet unique way. So many questions running through your head..... Miss Bond certainly writes with the reader in mind, as there is no doubt she keeps you engaged throughout the entire book.
-The Ending - Wow!!! I was left questioning my own reality!!!
What I didn't like:
For this book I would really like to say that there was nothing at all. But if I had to pick something it would be the major death scenes. I felt like there was such a build up to them and yet it was over almost before it began. But it did not in anyway deter from the storyline.
My favourite line in the book:
"I stood and his hands clamped onto my waist, pulling me to him so fast, I didn't register his lips on mine, his tongue on mine until I was tasting him, moving in unison, the beginning of a deadly dangerous dance."
Keeper of Crows offers the readers so much. Casey writes so well, that you will feel like you have crossed the veil into Purgatory yourself and at the end???? Well....you'll question it all.

I just loved the story, the characters and their adventures. Need I say more.. A must read, you won't be disappointed.
A twisted ride that you don't want to miss!Reviewed in the United States on 23 May 2017
Wow, what a dark and twisted ride unlike anything I've read before! I was originally drawn to this book due to the gorgeous cover and the darker plot, but loved it for so much more. I loved that the main character was unapologetically flawed, yet she remained strong and true to herself. The story line was so original and filled with twists that it had me questioning everything at one point. Bond does an excellent job of creating a story that blends romance, pain, sacrifice, battles, and a questionable reality into one amazing read. I can't wait for the second book to see where she takes this story next!
Unsettling!Reviewed in the United States on 2 December 2019
What if you died and your soul was captured and taken to purgatory? Would you fight or go quietly. This story really makes you wonder about your faith and what the afterlife holds for you. It's also a love story. I've given it 5 stars because I loved it but it's not for everyone.
I can't even...Reviewed in the United States on 22 May 2017
This story is so different from what I thought it would be. I'm so enthralled with these characters and the battles they've had to fight. This book is so much more. There is paranormal mixed with religion. There is also a backdrop of abuse and self depreciation. With the added bonus of love. Thank you Casey!!
