Perfect for my 13 year old son. He uses it for his xbox and laptop and it’s perfect. Wasn’t too expensive but is exactly what he wanted. Was looking at more expensive ones but this was great so glad I didn’t spend hundreds!!! Noisey keys but that’s what he wanted. If your after no sound when using don’t buy this one. But it is really good and the kids like the tapping as they play games apparently. Would be annoying for a lot of typing or in an office. Great for kids though.

The only downside is that its pretty heavy, but otherwise strong.
I would expect it to last years.
The keys are well lit up, on the top, so you can actually see them, and not a backlight like on some keyboards/laptops, that make it nearly impossible to use in the dark.
Me likey very much.

Didn't buy this for gaming so....
Reviewed in Canada on 26 September 2018Colour: RGB LED backlight (Black)Verified Purchase
I'm going to start off by saying that I'm not using this keyboard for gaming, but rather for office work. I'm a developer, so I tend to rely a lot on my keyboard, and since I had never used a mechanical keyboard before, I wanted to give it a try without breaking the budget... that being said, the verdict.
* Build quality :: 5/5
The keyboard seems to be pretty well made. It's quite heavy, which makes it feel pretty sturdy and it helps to keep it in place during use. The keyboard cover (basically what we see of it) is made of metal, which increases my confidence in terms of durability.
Build quality on the switches and keycaps is another story, but I'll give it the benefit of the doubt for now and not deduct any points due to that.
* Switches :: 4/5
Coming from a non-mechanical keyboard user, I really like the feel of the mechanical switches. It's hard to explain why they are different from normal keyboards, but for some reason it makes typing feel easier.
The switches themselves are clicky, so there's actually two sounds when you hit a key: the click once you reach the action point of the switch, and when the keycap/switch reaches its lowest point. Personally I'm not a fan of the clicky sounds and I could do without them... but for the price, I'm not sure I had a lot of options, so I can live with it.
Note that the keyboard is on the loud side, there's no doubt people will notice you're typing, even if they're 10-15 ft away from you.
* Lighting :: 4/5
Lighting is all right. I rate it high because it has some level of customization on the keyboard itself, without having to install additional software. However, I don't think it has the capability of assigning light/effects on a key-by-key basis. This is definitely not a deal-breaker for me, since I'm looking for some discrete lighting (if any), and there's an option for that (slowly alternating colors).
All in all, I rate the keyboard 4/5 only because of the clicky sounds that I need to give my ears some time to adapt. Coming from a normal keyboard and moving to this is already a step in the right direction... at least in my mind.
I would probably recommend this to anyone interested in trying out a first mechanical keyboard. For more advanced lighting effects and customization, you might want to look elsewhere.

Mechanical keyboard with RGB elements and its CHEAP!
Reviewed in India on 31 July 2017Colour: RGB LED backlight (Black)Verified Purchase
SURPRISE MF says the keyboard when you open it cause this one screams quality!
I have been using the Corsair k95 rgb with cherry mx red for about 18months, and i had some issues with the leds, its gone for an exchange, now i thoughg lets try these cheap options by the time it returns, n see whats the diff bet a 16k and a 4k keyboard offering supposedly, the same features. so heres my list of whats there and what u r missing on by not buying an expensive alternative:
1. The mechanical BLUE switches are really good with nice feedback, they are not cherry but are good quality none the less.
2. The build quality is good, yes it is. 4k for such a build is great. Metalplate board with plastic sorrounding is same as a CM storm mechanical board.
3. RGB Elements are great, inbuilt themes are nyc and you can download the siftware as well to customize.
4.Macros are somewhat available u can customize from the software availble from the website mentioned in the manual.
Now what u r missing out by not buying a more expensive mech keyboard;
1. the keys are a bit wavy at times, can woble( u will not observe this unless u have worked with a corsair keyboard, even razor has same issues with keys)
2.No dedicated media keys, u need to press fuction n then f1 f2 and so on for media playback.
3. The lack of proper software support, u can customize but u cant save the profiles on the keyboard, so u have to keep the software open for the customization to show on the keyboard and if u close the soft or restart the changes are also gone.
I can pinpoint more but honestly this is one really nyc piece of hardware and you wont regret it SPECIALLY IF U R MOVING FROM A MEMBRANE ONE.
To all the gamers PLEASE SWITCH TO MECHANICAL KEYBOARDS, U WILL NOT REGRET IT!

Great keyboard with a nice loud clicky sound!
Reviewed in Canada on 3 April 2018Colour: RGB LED backlight (Black)Verified Purchase
For the price, you simply can't beat it. I've been using mine for several weeks now and I love it.
The Advantages:
1. The price - it's the cheapest good quality mechanical keyboard you will find.
2. The clicky sound is nice and satisfying, I find myself making excuses just to type more with it.
3. There are some nice LED color options. Don't worry about the other reviews complaining about this. Some people are just too picky. I found there were plenty of different colors and the ability to adjust the brightness was great. There's also some animation options for the lights.
4. Has some nice built in functions to adjust volume, open calculator..etc. My favorite being the windows key lock. No more having to rip the key out of the keyboard for me.
The downsides:
1. It weighs a lot for a keyboard. I usually have the keyboard in my lap VS on a table and I can feel the difference. It's not uncomfortable though. Biggest issue with the weight is when it falls on the floor. It's only happened once so far but when it fell it chipped a piece off the corner that I had to superglue back on.
2. There's no where to grip the keyboard on the edge. I find it hard to grab the thing without accidentally pushing keys.
3. It's got a raised lip on the edge that I find likes to help lock dirt and crumbs in with the keys.
All in all - it's a great starter mechanical keyboard. It's a great price point for a solid keyboard that will get you used to using a mechanical keyboard before spending upwards of $200+ for a high-end one.

Going strong so far
Reviewed in India on 21 September 2020Colour: Red Backlight (Black)Verified Purchase
It's been a while since I purchased the product and it's hardly given me any issues so far. Got it for 4k in December, 2017. There was this brief time when one of the keys was mysteriously registering multiple presses, but the issue went away just as randomly as it came. Other than that, I have no complaints about the product.
