Kirby and the Forgotten Land is an absolute joy to experience. The levels are densely packed with detail and secrets to discover. You're always rewarded to explore your surroundings and take chances. I had a goofy smile on my gob the entire time. This is the first Kirby game in full 3D and it works incredibly well. The two player co-op is a real treat too.

Oh yeah and you can press up on the D-Pad and Kirby will say hi, 10/10 GOTY.

Great addition to the Kirby franchise for new and old players of this adorable pink blob.
The gameplay itself is similar to Mario Odyssey, and I am loving the mouthful copy abilities in this version, who doesn’t want to become a car, or a staircase to smoosh your enemies?

There are 2 difficulty levels to pick between, an easier gameplay level where you have more health, or a normal gameplay level where you get more coins during play (used for upgrading your copy abilities, or buying potions and food for health).
You can switch between difficulty levels at any time, so you’re not stuck if you’re finding it too easy or difficult on the level you choose.

All in all, an adorable, no stress game that you can play alone or in co-op with another person.

When this first came out i didnt think i would buy it (never played a kirby game before), but after playing mainly metroidvanias this year i felt i needed a much more relaxed gaming experience. And it is exactly what i hoped for. Even as an adult i have to go back and do some levels a couple of times to 100% completely them with little secrets and hidey spots. Definitley an easy game in general, but not too childish that adults cant enjoy it.
Just an overall bright and lively experience, even most of the enemies are cute you sorta feel bad having to kill them 😅

For those worried about their copy not being sealed, good news. Australian 1st party Nintendo games don’t come sealed initially. What’s confusing is they start sealing them after the first batch. I work in retail. I received exactly 41 copies of ‘Kirby & the Forgotten Land’ directly from Nintendo. None had plastic wrap. So don’t stress. Enjoy the game. Cheers
