1.0 out of 5 stars kNOTipex - Tarnishing the Knipex brand name with this model - Poor quality
By Triggerx on 3 April 2021
Not sure how this got the Knipex brand name but this tool is not a representation with the usual German quality.

First you will notice that the jaws flopped around. But I gave it a chance and its fine when clamped.
Noticed the jaws and screw aren't finished well so its not smooth operation. Finally after just light use i've spotted rust on a chrome plated tool. None of my chome plated Knipex tools does this.
It seems like they just dripped or sprayed on the chrome finish and bits inside the rivets and spring area wasnt chrome plated!! Avoid

3.0 out of 5 stars Brand new and rusted shut?
Reviewed in the United States on 20 November 2018
When I opened the vise grip the jars were locked shut with the locking mechanism. When I went to release the pliers they would not open. I had to pry the jaws open. I found that the reason the pliers would not open was that they were rusted shut. The metal seems high quilty but the finish on the tool is not. Some WD-40 fixed the problem but this was my first experience with Knipex and it was disappointing .
