This is incredibly creative music. CD 1 shows the band at the time at a high point, pushing the boundaries. CD 2 is an insight into the beauty of when great musicians improvise. Fripp is one of the few 'prog' guitarists who can fill a long guitar solo with Jazz and Rock and Classical ... and a lot more besides. Listen ... please.
Two further comments. Firstly, the lyrics ... which now should sadly dated. Back in the day, they seemed great, but now ... they do not seem to add to the overall effect. This is a shame, but it does prove that Fripp's judgement was good!
Secondly, Tripp is the man! Rather like Miles Davis, when music and played with RF they reach a high point! Few ever reach the same heights once they had left KC. IT is a shame that this band fell apart, but the good news is that Tripp the created further great bands.
As I said, what is on this CD is REMARKABLE. Buy it. Treasure it. Go beyond the boundaries with Fripp's creative genius.
