This was one of the LEGO sets that we got for Christmas but decided to give it to the kids a bit earlier.
What we LIKE about it:
1. Great value for money — with 790 pieces in it, It’s A Great value for money for sure. Plus, comes with this huge box, where u could throw in all the other pieces and it just makes a great place for storing all those lego pieces lying around the house.
2. Good thickness — overall all the pieces are of decent thickness, come in a variety of beautiful colours, including pastel colours, and comes with heaps of random pieces like windows, doors, and flowers! Just let your kids’ imagination take over and do it’s thing!
3. Good starter kit — it’s an excellent starter kit that comes with a manual for a couple of simple constructions. We actually started with speed champions, city and technic sets first, so this set was just “too beginner“ level for my kids (3 & 4yo). Now in retrospect, I think it’s best to start with this set, then move on to speed champions and technic sets. But to be fair, give this set to a 3 & 4yo now, it can occupy them for a while while their imagination runs wild!
What we DISLIKE about the set:
Regardless of the number of pieces, it still seems like it comes with very few wheels or bigger pieces to keep everything together. We can combine with our other sets, but I believe it should be good on its own (without combining with anything else).
Overall, we are happy with this set. It keeps the kids busy for hours, they don’t have to follow instructions and they just come up with something of their own. The only thing to note, it’s such a good starter kit, I really wish we started with this set rather than speed champions or whatnot. On the other hand, now kids are learning to free style.
