If you’ve never had a Bluetooth speaker before, this would be a great product for the price. I have a bose speaker I use but I wanted to get my daughter a speaker for her room. So listening to a $100 Bose Bluetooth speaker then switching to this one, was a noticeable difference. I’d prefer to spend $100 and have the sound quality I’m used to. But like I said, if you are not comparing the sound to a higher end speaker, this little speaker would work great and it is still a decent sound ...and the price is great.
Meh, it's ok. Returns are a PITA right now so I'm keeping it, but it has nothing on the Blue Piston speaker I've grown to love.
Pros: * pink is nice * sound pretty decent for size
Cons: *one input for both charge cord and attaching to non-bluetooth device. That's dumb. I can't both charge and listen to older devices at the same time. *short battery life. Rarely had to charge the ol' Blue Piston. This one needs it constantly. * volume is weird? Controling the volume from my phone has no room between pretty loud and totally off. Don't love that.
Key thing to understand - this is not the best speaker device you can buy by any means. It is a budget orientated device for those who don't mind not having something along the lines of Jabra. However the features and function are not Jabra, and the device is between $20-25 CDN. Jabra devices are greater than $100+. It has a bit of voice lag and there is an abvious issue with asynchronous sound. But for the price, who really can't go wrong. It is built well (from what I can see on the outside), has a clear sound, and as a mic does make your conference calls much better than a laptop alone. Just do not expect it to work like a Jabra Speak 510 and you'll be pleasantly suprised. Overall, this device scores middle of the road for performance, but top marks for value .
I had a very difficult time setting up the speaker but there was a simple fix: hold the "on" button for 2 seconds and it will turn on. With this, the set up was simple. I found the solution by checking online but if this important detail had been in the instructions it would have spared a lot of aggravation and time. That's why I'm rating it with 3 stars only. Aside from that, I find that the sound quality is good enough for what I need.
I'm glad I got this on sale for 20. I would have returned if anymore than that. They look great, but sound is poor. I work on a unit with dementia and bought them for residents who are isolated. You have to have it within 4 feet to hear your music at full volume when plugged into an mp3 player. Too bad, so much potential with the dual cord, lights, etc.
I really enjoy how small and sleek it is. and the overall box was very minuscule. I haven't gone through a full battery cycle yet but it seems alright. I was disappointed however at the quality of sound if you get even a tiny bit loud, and the bass response. It either sounds super grainy or just isn't there as much. now for rock or guitar songs, my examples are tragically hip and city and color were absolutely fantastic sound quality given not maxed out on volume. voices and strings sound alot better than computer generated bass and sounds. which is nice for me, but might not be for all. Overall 3/5 due to the fact that the sound gets really really bad at even slightly louder volumes.
Love the design of these speakers, really modern, sleek and cute. I like how it lights up when turning on. Sound quality is good. But, I wouldn’t repurchase or recommend due to the simple fact that they vibrate / shake and will fall off most surfaces imaginable! (Think counters, vanities, anything that isn’t padded or foam.) Not a great design.
