To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I have 2 of these now, they work on Windows and Linux. The labels are widely available for low cost from secondary manufacturers. I had an Avery brand similar label printer that was unreliable and I tossed it. The DYMO labelwriter works every time. The only con is the labels themselves can yellow and fade in a few years time. Of course for large labels a laser printer is what I use. Even very small fonts come out well, it is quite precise. I use portrait mode to make very small labels and cut them out with scissors.
The Dymo LabelWriter 450 Turbo Printer hasn’t worked properly since I purchased it. It will print a few labels and then it starts rewinding the labels and then feeds forward quickly, jamming the labels inside the printer. Luckily, I’ve worked on electronics before and have been able to unjam it.
I have only used Dymo labels, so that isn’t the issue. I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled the software and performed all the software updates with no luck. I spent over 3 months trying to get it fixed, now past the Amazon return date.
I’ve contacted Dymo Tech Support and have traded emails back and forth each time they request more information. It has been a week of emails with no progress at all. I now have over 34,000 labels and products that need to be priced. I can not recommend Dymo Printers.
After a recent software update, only blank labels are printed. NO TECH SUPPORT AT ALL. Acknowledged on their website there is an issue with printing labels and offered a new update. However, after running the update, all barcode files (over thousand) are wiped out. Telephone support is impossible (been in the phone for 45mins listening to music). In addition, the live chat, after entering all your contact information, a message popped out: Your chat request has been cancelled because no agents are available”. This is a company offers ZERO Support with technical issues or customer services. AVOID!!!!!
Printer malfunctioned right out of the package. Cannot seem to correct it thru all the trouble shooting videos/info online. Didn’t want to return right away in case I set it up incorrectly, but it’s consistently in malfunctioning. I need to return. Labels backup to start printing 2nd label and sticks. Cleared, no jams. May just be defective.
This is not a plug and play printer. There is no customer service available unless you like being on hold for hours. Constant searches for updates make this a very undesirable purchase. I am returning this for a different brand with ease of use.
Works most the time on the mac but will stop printing in the middle of a label about once a week. Sometimes it start back up but sometimes it won't work at all and I will give up for days. Put it over and the PC and it works great.
