It can easily handle multiple open tabs in Chrome while also running a 1080p movie via VLC and having GIMP open in the background, although you do see occasional hiccups in performance after a while. The S340 punches well above its weight as far as gaming goes too (not that you'd really want to buy a Chromebook for games). Native Android apps like GTA SA and Crazy Taxi run perfectly and support a USB controller. There's 64GB of on-board storage though, so you'll probably wanna invest in an SD card too.
The bottom gets a little warm after a while, but nothing serious. The keyboard is decent enough after you get used to it (bit mushy).
A potential deal-breaker here however is the screen. It's... pretty bad. The panel is a 14 inch TN and it honestly looks like it came from the mid 2000's. Colours are washed out and the viewing angles are often horrendous; even looking at it dead-on you'll struggle to find a sweet spot. Also yeah, it's not a touch screen if that's something you're after.
Also while it is indeed 1080p, the device defaults to something much lower (like 1500 x 815 or whatever). You can change it to full HD in settings though, no worries.
Again, I'm happy with the purchase. The price was very good and it's fine for what I need it to do. Super lightweight too, very easy to travel with.
To sum it up this is a great Chromebook only let down slightly by the screen which must be viewed at the correct angle to get the results you expect from an FHD screen.
It is FHD but the screen itself is of poor quality and this makes it hard to read the smaller text.
It's not worth what I paid for it and if I could, I would return it and get something with a better screen.
