Product description
Linkind Zigbee Door/Window Sensor, a member of Linkind Smart Home Family. It can be used to
expand the working range of Linkind Home Security System, or coordinate with another family
member, Linkind Zigbee Lights(hub required), to create automation in lighting.
Use in Home Security
Note:below utilities work out only a Linkind Siren Hub or Linkind Home Security System is
connected. Connected devices sold separately.
-Protect Your Home. No need to plug in any wire. Attach it on your door or window. It will scare
off an intruder by triggering the Siren hub to sound if the door/window was forced open. The
alert will be sent to your phone immediately.
-Keep Your Children Away from Potential Risk. Place the sensor on the cabinets or drawers
where items that you want to keep out of reach of your child are stored. If the little one
opens it by accident, you will be alerted and catch him or her red-handed before they get hurt.
Extended Applications
-Work with Linkind Smart Zigbee Lights. Linkind Zigbee lights and hub are needed. Come back
home from work in the evening, open the door, the light welcomes you by turning on
automatically. Leave the house for work in the morning, close the door, the lights shut off
at the same time. No need to check and turn off one by one.
-Record Open/Close Status. Linkind APP not only shows you the real-time status of the sensor:
Open/Close/Offline, but records the history of the "open" and "close" actions. If you want to
monitor a place or cabinet in silence, pair the sensor with a Linkind Mini hub would be a solution.
Easy Installation
Adhesive tape and mounting bracket are included for easy installation.
Note:
1.The magnet must locate groove to groove with the sensor.
2. Make sure the gap between the sensor and the magnet is within 0.8 inch.

To configure for Smartthings. On ST app, go to add device and scan. It will find "Thing". Go to Smartthings IDE website and look for "Thing" under devices. Edit and change to Zigbee Motion Detector and select update. Open back cover of Motion and hold the reset button until red light flashes. Immediately go the ST app and scan for devices again. It will find the motion again. Done.

They come with a DL2032 (which I believe is interchangeable with CR2032), and it is easily accessed by one small Philips head screw (second picture). In my third picture, you can see the maximum gap I could create between the magnet and sensor is about 5/8 of an inch. This is slightly less than the 0.8" that is advertised, but it's still pretty good.
I had a little bit more trouble pairing these sensors to SmartThings than I have with other devices, but for the size and price of these sensors, I definitely think they are worth the effort. I'll likely be buying more when I find a new use case.
Here is how I paired them with SmartThings:
On the contact sensor
1. I pulled the battery tab
2. Used the provided push pin to put in the small hole and hold the reset button down for 3-5s (until a red light started blinking)
On the SmartThings app
3. I tapped the '+' to add a device
4. Then clicked 'Scan nearby'
5. After 30+ seconds it discovers the device and calls it 'Thing'
6. I renamed the sensor so that I could better identify it
On SmartThings IDE (account.smartthings.com)
7. I logged in and click on My Devices
8. Click on the device I just named and clicked the Edit button
9. Change the DTH 'Type' to 'SmartSense Open/Closed Sensor' and clicked Update button
At this point, the app showed the right interface for the contact sensor when I looked at the device, but it showed disconnected (cloud symbol with a line through it). I then used the push pin on the sensor again to make it discoverable again and tried to re-add the device from the app. After another 30 seconds of searching it discovered the device, but this time with the name that I had previously gave it. The devices was then working properly at that point. I'm not sure if I just got unlucky with the pairing, but I had to do this for both sensors.

I installed 2 door sensors onto two doors. I was told that the door sensor can be used to set alarm when we are not at home, and to record the times of door opening & closing each day. I also installed a motion sensor in the living room to monitor daily motions. The installation process was a bit difficult. I followed the video step by step and finally worked it out which is worthy! After installation, it is quite easy to use. APP or KEYPAD can set alarms, simple and fast.
The cons are that Door sensors are not enough, and I may need more.
