I am NOT a keyboard person but i can tell this is one of the best keyboards out there 10/10 build quality, feels nice and premium 10/10 keyboard sound, this keyboard is so satisfying to type or game on 10/10 software, great customisability and the g-keys really help and this keyboard goes well with the glorious model D, but just remember DO NOT get the orion spark
Great product. I particularly like the feel of the keys. I didn’t have extensive experience with micro switches in the past mainly because I always found them too noisy. Well this product isn’t. My previous keyboard, from another manufacturer, had cherry mx blue switches and I wasn’t very fond of them. What more can I say; this is another quality product from Logitech. Highly recommended.
First, the good -- great mechanical keyboard, the keys feel fantastic. Once you install the software, you can customize the shortcut "G" keys, customize each key's LED separately (RGB 0-255), tons of features, it's great. Now the bad: I was going to give this keyboard 5 stars easy, but then, just 3 days after my return eligibility ran out, my left Windows key's LEDs burned. The blue seems dead, so it can't reproduce proper colors. The next day, my space bar, and then my Prinyt Screen key as well. At this rate it looks like they're about to all fail fast, so I'm left leaving this product one star only -- it looks like a great product but from my experience the quality doesn't seem to last long. For this reason I don't recommend it. Bad LED colors are not the end of the world, but this product costs a lot for that feature, so it's inacceptable that it dies out so quickly.
UPDATE: Now my F5, Numpad 2 keys are suffering the same fate. I googled this problem and it turns out there are many people who have the same problem -- all with the blue color. This keyboard really deserves only one star, after all.
There is just enough clicking from the mechanical keys for me but not enough to drive me crazy... or more importantly my girlfriend crazy like the Razer Blackwidow Chroma V2(green was the only one available here at a decent price). I would shop around for a better price but the customizable options are almost as good as the Razer and the keyboard is comfortable to use.
This is (so far) a great keyboard - well it should be for the money. It is heavy duty. The keys are a bit more 'clacky' than I would like - it is louder than my last keyboard but you can tell when you have pressed a key which is what I wanted. I just need to retrain my finger to be a little lighter on the keys. I love the RGB colors - I've use the key group settings so it is easy to find the keys at night - which is one of the things that I really needed. So far I'm loving this new keyboard.
After using the keyboard for a while and playing with the light settings I’ve really enjoyed the keyboard so far. It’s super quiet for a mechanical keyboard unlike some others (blackwidowcoughcough) and it feels like I barely have to touch the keys and they register.
My biggest complaint actually comes from amazon and the company who shipped it. Amazon just threw shipping labels on the original box itself and called it good while the shippers who dropped it off just left it on my doorstep..... in plane view of anyone walking by. A 230$ keyboard in it’s original packaging just sitting outside screaming “come take me!!”
That has really annoyed me, otherwise I really like the keyboard so far.
I only gave 4 stars because I can’t rate durability so soon. Others have complained about it only being plastic and not metal but I don’t really care about that honestly. The only other complaint I can think of is it’s lack of a pass through USB. But more of an annoyance then anything.
Great keyboard with very positive tactile feedback. This is my first fully mechanical keyboard, and thus far I like it quite a bit. I'm not a big fan of RGB but being able to light up only the keys used by a particular game is quite nice. The lighting can be completely disabled, as can the windows keys if you so choose.
