A great light for the price point

I'm pretty impressed with the product considering the price point. The stand feels a little cheap and flimsy, but still does the job just fine and is expected at this price. The remote control and brightness/warmth adjustment are really nice features too. Please note for Australian or other overseas customers, the power supply is a 110v US plug, so you'll need a step-down transformer to use on 240v outlets.

J'utilise ce "soft box" pour vidéo, "talking head shot" pour du "A role". Déception sur l'étui de transport qui est de très piètre qualité. Clairement pas comme sur la photo. Mais pour le prix de l'ensemble, ça vaut la peine!

This softbox from Mount Dog seemed like a really good value. An LED bulb is ~ $20 on its own so, basically, you're getting a light stand ($20 value), a softbox, and a bag to carry it all in for $41 - not a bad deal at all. But, the quality is not what I would call great. The stands are lightweight and will tip over easily if you aren't careful. The thumbwheels you use to tighten/loosen the angle of the softbox, the height of the light stand, and where the legs on the light stand lock into place feel like they're going to break when I tighten them down, but if I don't tighten them securely, they will collapse/not hold the position. I don't expect perfection at this price but I do expect it to work like it is intended to work. Unfortunately for me, the remote control broke and the vendor could not send me a replacement. They offered a discount instead but the whole point of the adjustable LED bulb is moot without the remote control fo the adjustments.

Some o m g I am in love! I have a really small studio so I only needed one light and this was perfect it gives me different shades and different options on how bright I want each shade.it comes with a carry bag for on-the-go studio photo shoots and it was absolutely worth the money and here with quick fast delivery and nothing was broken including the light.

PROS: Bright enough for my 10'x10' study/studio Lite enough to easily mount with a clamp to my bookshelf. Tripod, sleeves and case that comes with this light super plus should it ever need to be taken elsewhere. The remote is an answer to my prayers allowing you to adjust the light while in front of the camera. This is the easiest Softbox setup I've every used. So nice that the rods and umbrella are already married and ready for use. Even goes up like an umbrella with the way that ring goes around the light fixture. And if I can't get what I need from the bulb provided then I can pop in any standard bulb into the fixture to suit my needs.

CONS: A sticky yet clear substance on covering an area the size of a dime on the lens to LED bulb took 15minutes of my time to remove (plus had to use a solvent as whatever it was is water resistant) and still shows slightly on the bulb. Second whoever repacked the diffuser cloth added extra wrinkles when it was returned. Lastly the LED Bulb itself I suspect had better packaging originally than the damaged cardboard box with nothing to keep the bulb in place inside my Mount dog box.

Yes I'd buy this again in a flash, the kit is a super performer, easy and well priced. And I'd recommend it to a friend.
