This is an easy to use timer, easy to set. Impressed so far with this timer and might be a couple more as its much easier to set compared to some of the other digital timers I have used.
Update: April 11, 2020
So after 5 months of use, the timer stopped working. It was certainly easy to set and worked well for 5 months but just stopped working today, still shows the time, but no longer turns lights on and off, so seems this timer could be short lived, maybe I got a dud, I don't know, but a timer should last longer than 5 months. It was used indoors so not exposed to any weather or extreme temps or anything.
I like digital--no grinding noise while in use. This timer is large and will block outlets! Most irritating is that it does not have the simple switch to slide to either timer function or always on. Most household timers are in use in hard to reach places. Just the nature of the beast of receptacle placement...If you want to just override any timer for a bit, it should be easy to do so. Feel for the switch--even in the dark. This one requires setting a complex 'countdown' function. Turn on a light, put on the glasses, bend over to get to it, watch the tiny LED readout to see what numbers are scrolling. That's the way this one works--no easy, tactile slide switch to 'always on' or to 'timer'. Also, the various settings can be inadvertently turned on and then the thing is going on and off on a random spree. If this is not for you, get a different one....
I purchased this timer for my elderly mother who already has a timer that is difficult to program. There were two problems with this one. First, and most important, it has to be plugged into an outlet to set it. That's not easy to do when the outlet you are using is low on the wall, especially if you are elderly. Second, my mom's old timer had an override button she could push when she wanted to turn the lamp on when it was set to be off. This one doesn't have that. I'm not a fan.
Product would be great if it had an on off button. If you want the light on when its timer is off your only option is to unplug the device and plug it directly into the wall. Such an obvious needed feature I cant give it more than 2 stars.
