The nostalgia factor is obviously the main appeal here, and it delivers on that well enough. And when paired with the 8Bitdo wireless usb adaptor it can also be used on PC which is a plus. However the analogue sticks are stiff and inaccurate, if you plan to use this for an fps or any other title that requires accurate camera aiming don't even bother.
The d-pad is also unfortunately very stiff and uncomfortable to press, I mainly used this controller in bluetooth mode to play some emulated GBA games on my phone and I had to use the analogue stick, inaccurate as it is, because the d-pad was just that uncomfortable.
There is also slight but noticeable input lag on any platform it is used on, but not so noticeable that it would get in the way of any casual gaming experience.
