This little box works magic and I’m keeping my CRT!!!

Awesome little box, works magic really! Delivered under 20hrs and got it connected to my old Sony CRT and antenna, wow was i ever surprised, almost 15 channels scanned with most in HD like quality. Ain’t no way i will throw out my old CRT (besides it weighs a ton!!!).
All in all, this little box works much much better than my previous one (purchased at Mastervox), which could barely capture 5 channels consistently and after a year, it just blew up on me (yes, i even heard a fuse, relay or diode go POOF inside!)

Avec cet appareil, tout fonctionne comme il se doit. L’image vidéo est excellente en HDMI et TV direct. Le volume de l’audio est un peu bas mais peut-être compensé avec la télécommande du téléviseur. Auparavant je possédais un autre modèle de convertisseur et il n’a même pas duré un mois. Tout a figé à l’écran et aucune touche de la télécommande ne fonctionnait. De plus il n’enregistrait pas toujours le bon poste programmé.
Je suis satisfait de ce nouvel achat et le recommande fortement; il accepte jusqu’à 2To de disque dur et s’arrête lorsque le convertisseur est fermé; chose que l’ancien modèle ne faisait pas et de plus il figeait souvent à l’utilisation de Clé USB. J’espère que ce nouvel appareil va durer bien longtemps.

We run a sports bar with a massive digital video distribution array to several dozen screens. From source HDMI into modulator via coax, splitters to receivers at each screen (this unit) and after about a year of daily use we needed to replace a couple, one gave audio sync issues while another lost power. Setup and programming were very easy. Remote works well. Channel changes are much faster than the tuners in my other two sets connected to the antenna. Picture quality also seems better than the built in tuners on my other TV sets. Haven't connected a hard drive to check out the PVR function but the fact that it has that capability at this price point is simply amazing! If you need a over the air tuner for an older set or if you want to record a bunch of programming and take it on the road, this compact unit would be my first choice....especially for the price!

J'ai acheté ce produit pour enregistrer les émissions captées via mon antenne et ça fonctionne très bien.
Plusieurs se plaignent de la portée de la manette, mais je la trouve très acceptable, et je suis à 10 pieds de l'appareil.
C'est vrai que les fonction des touches changent dépendamment d'où on est dans le menu, mais chaque touche et comportement est bien indiqué à l'écran au bas du menu, donc c'est pas si mêlant.
Pour ce qui est du EPG (guide horaire) c'est vrai que je ne vois jamais plus de 24 heures à l'avance et pour certaines chaînes je n'ai aucune information sur la programmation à venir. J'imagine que c'est un problème avec la chaîne elle même et non l'équipement, puisque la majorité des autres chaînes fonctionnent.
J'ai branché mon vieux disque dure externe USB 2.0 et ça enregistre très bien. Je peux même les regarder sur mon PC par la suite.
J'ai un peu de difficulté avec le time shift TV, soit reculer une diffusion en cours, quand j'enregistre depuis plus de 10 minutes, je n'arrive pas à reculer. Tout ce qui fonctionne c'est de repartir du moment où j'ai démarrer l'enregistrement, ce qui est assez désagréable si ça fait 30 minutes que j'ai lancé l'enregistrement Time shift TV. Je vais continuer de tester cette fonctionnalité, je m'y prends peut-être mal....
On ne peut pas enregistrer et regarder un autre chaîne en même temps, mais c'est normal, il n'y a qu'un seul tuner ATSC dans l'équipement. Je contourne ce problème en splitant le signal et l'envoie aussi directement dans le coax de la télé.
La sensibilité du tuner est bonne et je capte les mêmes chaîne que via ma télé.
Je ne suis pas convaincu de la fiabilité de cette équipement à long terme et seul le temps me le confirmera, mais pour le garder le plus longtemps possible je l'éteint toujours quand je ne regarde pas la télé. De toute façon si j'ai programmé quelque chose il se r'allume le temps de l'enregistrement et s'éteint tout seul.
Très satisfait pour le prix, bien que j'aimerais un guide horaire plus long.

Amazing little box!!! I have a projector without a tv tuner. I had an older Samsung OTA tuner that died...and this is SOOOO much better!!! Better picture, better sound, and by far more stations that before using the same antenna I had with the Samsung. It's quite small and light..you wouldn't think much of it, but damn it's a great little product! I haven't tried the HDD feature to record yet but i'm sure it'll work just fine
