This is the best bang for your buck mirror I was able to find in terms of size, but a few days of moderately warm (25C+) weather appears to have been enough to weaken the plastic (?) so the mirror can't hold its own weight anymore. My wife's car has another brand which is smaller and costlier, but at least stays in position no matter what.
Find I am constantly readjusting or setting it to vertical to wedge against the car seat in order to see my kids, but a bumpy road is enough to dislodge
