Original cast recording of the brand new 2014 production of Miss Saigon which opened in May 2014, breaking box office records and critically acclaimed across the board.
The album will be released on the show’s 25th anniversary.
Miss Saigon has not been on stage in the West End for 15 years, when it ended its 10 year run and has since successfully opened in over 300 cities in 15 different languages, winning countless awards around the world.
On revisiting the product page I enlarged the album image but that is the only indication. Too late for me as this was part of my wife's Christmas present.
This recording is solid. Sure, I could do with less vocal acrobatics on Bui Doi and Why God Why and the new song Maybe is not standout, but this is still a very enjoyable album. As it is not just the songs but almost a full recording of the show, you can listen to it all with a continuing storyline.
However, -1 star as I have no idea why The Fall Of Saigon is no longer a track on its own? It seems to be merged with Kim's Nightmare which makes it a 8:27 song. Kind of silly given the different tempos of these songs.
Still worth the money!
