Recently expanded the network on a farm to reach all outbuildings and create a wifi/cctv network where there is no phone signal. Excellent devices. The first two purchased have been in place for 18 months wto tith no need to reset and have braved snow and the longest hot summer. Very happy with TP-Link range and would recommend the EAP / CPE range to small business, mid size offices and cafes without hesitation. Awesome value.

I installed this device, changed the SSID and password and connected my laptop. Range was excellent. But...... after just 1 hour the device seemed to have reset itself as my SSID no longer showed, but the default SSID did. I could not connect anymore, so it required a reset with the button. Normally if this happens I shrug my shoulders, but after just 1 hour....I don't trust it and will return it.

EDIT: Did some tests after taking the thing down, and it turns out some corrosion on the network cable somehow forced it to reset...... Have it connected indoors with a new cable and seems stable now. Have increased stars from 2 to 4. If still stable in a few days I'll give 5 stars as the range and speed is excellent.

Bought this for wifi in a garden building. while the garden got a good signal wirelessly from the extender being attached directly into the house router, we lost most of the signal in the garden building. so we bought a long ethernet cable (you can buy 30m, 50m etc) to attach the extender in the garden building. when all set up we have the same ethernet speed as we did before inside the house. initially the instructions were confusing, so I phoned tp link technical support. They talked me though the set up and gave excellent customer service. so very easy to install once you know what you're doing.

After wasting time and money on second-hand access points via a popular auction website, thinking that I'd be saving money buying old and cheap, I decided the only way to get near to a consistent and guaranteed experience, would be to bite the bullet and actually buy a brand-new device.

As money is tight to begin with, though, I still need to find the cheapest, yet appropriate option - and this is how I found myself in TP-Link's entry-level bracket. Reassuringly, the reviews for the EAP115 sounded positive, and it provides the POE functionality that I need in our home setup. I took the leap of faith. So glad I did; strong connection, and setup is so simple I had to double-check that I wasn't missing something.

The web admin back-end is clear and simple yet functional (there's no need for any apps if you just want to manage it via a browser from a computer on your network), and I even found an option here to turn the LED off; very useful if positioned where it may otherwise cause visual interference.

I'm so impressed with the EAP115 that I'll be buying another to replace our ailing (decrepit) Zyxel.

My problem was that I had installed a Ring Door Bell on the gate at the front of the house, which is 6 foot from the front door with the main router being 15 feet away in the living room.

The Ring Door Bell would lose it's wi fi connection to the main house router once the front door was shut. I purchased 2 wi fi boosters that were good but still didn't do the job.

I reviewed the comments for this item and someone had posted they'd also purchased it to help with the issues they were also experiencing with their Ring Door Bell. Based on his review I made the purchase.

I must've spent 3 weekends trying all sorts of different things and was on the verge of giving up and returning the door bell.

Since I purchased this item, I have had nothing but 3 weeks solid 100% connectivity to the Ring Door Bell (which connects to this device which is attached to the side of the house) and have thoroughly enjoyed what the Door Bell is capable of.

If you are having similar issues connecting or extending wi fi to the outside/outdoors/garden area etc, then this is the device for you. You will need to have a CAT6 network cable going from your home router, drilled through the outside of your house where it connects to this which device and simply attaches to the wall. We got a cabling friend to do it and it took him less than an hour.

The device itself is very, very easier to configure.
