Extremely disappointed. I love the Nuby brand, use them across the board for many baby item needs. From bath items, to teething. This particular item I had with my first born who is now 12yo. I purchase one of these ducks for every baby shower, and birth for friends and family. But we got a faulty duck. Not only does it look like the bottom was painted poorly, too quick maybe?? It reads HOT in cold water and out of the tub. It arrived late, and honestly I don't want to pay to return it. This makes me question the quality of Nuby products. As I said previous been using this company for years for a bunch of baby product needs, very disappointed.

I should have paid more attention to the reviews and the price. At the time we got it, the Nuby Hot-Safe Bath Duck was $4.99 but the Munchkin White Hot Safety Bath Ducky was $1.99. After using both in hot water, the whitening of the blue letters that say Hot did fade on the Munchkin but continued to stay white on the Nuby making it useless after just one try. We kept the Munchkin and returned the Nuby as defective. If you're interested in something pricier, I recommend the Baby Bath Thermometer with Room Thermometer - Famidoc FDTH-V0-22 NEW Upgraded Sensor Technology for Baby Health Bath Tub Thermometer Floating Toy Thermometer , which is easy to use and has a display showing the exact temperature.

These are substantial and a good size. I don't use the water temperature feature, so I can't comment. They are mostly decorative and are very happy looking sitting by my soaking tub. And they have a "little open mouth" which is a feature I didn't find on some of the others.
