I was quite excited to use this new product from OPI, and I’m giving it two stars because I love the color. But, despite seeming to be a brand new bottle, the polish was quite thick and hard to get smooth on my nails. I’m prohibited from returning it, because “For safety reasons, items containing flammable liquids or gases can’t be returned to Amazon.” According to the OPI website, adding a little polish remover will only make things worse; evidently I now need to buy lacquer thinner. So it sounds like Amazon is not the place to purchase OPI nail polish. I’m not happy.
If you are looking at this under the "OPI Infinite Shine, Long-Wear Nail Polish, Pinks" be warned that not all colors are actually "Infinite Shine." I purchased "Privacy Please" & "Suzi Shops & Island Hops" and received standard nail lacquer for both of them. Of course, since nail polish is considered "flammable," these items cannot be returned. Take extra caution that the picture of the lacquer you're purchasing says "Infinite Shine 2" on the image itself, and the descriptor.
OPI Nail Lacquer is a great product, but...the color on this particular one is "Hawaiian Orchid" and it is not the same "Hawaiian Orchid" as OPI Nail Envy Strengthener Hawaiian Orchid. It's much brighter. I assumed that the same color name from the same company would be...the same. I really like the Nail Envy Hawaiian Orchid, which is why I ordered the regular lacquer in the same color, but it is definitely not the same. I'm probably going to pass it on to my much younger and hipper daughter, because I feel this color is just too bright and young looking for me.
I’m not sure if the formula changed but this seemed to be thicker and harder to smoothly brush on the nail. One coat was just sheer enough. The second coat made this look a lot more milky pink. Would not recommend this for people with olive skin tone.
This beautiful pinkish color looks great on my nails and is the perfect color for the spring and summer. I apply a coat of gelcolor top coat over it put my nails under the curing lite for 2 min and my nails last for almost two weeks without a chip. I feel I must update my review. I have only used this polish two times and it is already going on gloppy (less than 2 months old). It has been sealed tight and stored with all my other polish. My other colors that I bought locally are 2 years old and in better condition than this one.
I do not like very bright nail polishes so I thought this color would be a nice subtle color. I used it for the first time last night and it's not so much pink as it has purple too. I'm not a purple fan so I am not a fan as it is advertised as a pink. Took it off immediately and will not be using again.
I have a few O.P.I nail lacquers and this one just is meh. It's extremely streaky no matter how I use it and the color I am not a huge fan of. I was hoping it would be a little translucent but it is not at all - that is merely a disappointment of my own expectations or hopes on the color not a reflection on the product in itself.
In saying that, between the streaky nature and the color itself (Sweet Heart color) I doubt I will use this... ever.
I have several times and no matter what I do this product always comes out liney for lack of a better word. I have tried painting a thin coat, and it still gets everywhere, it is just sloppy. It is really weird, I even used a buffer to make sure that there were not any lines on my nails, used a base coat and tried it without. It looks like a Kindergarten painted my nails with cheap paint from the hobby store. :(
