To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Some of these recipes were more complicated than I would ever use on a daily basis. I made one of the soup recipes and it took about 2.5 hours and I was so bored (ok, I am slow at chopping but there were so many ingredients it took ages). If you have a busy family this may be a challenge. Upside: no spending a fortune on a book with 2 vegan recipes, having a purely vegan book was great. Also great images of finished products.
I unfortunately have to agree with a few other reviews. I was highly anticipating this book to be as good as the first and am disappointed. If you follow her blog, you don't need the book. Yes there are a few recipes in the book that are not on the blog but far too many are. Also, a lot of easy recipes (making nut flours, etc. - grind a nut..not difficult). But I love her and her recipes. Beautiful book. If you do not follow her blog and do not have her first book, then you would likely rate it a 5.
I love the first book, but this one has fewer recipes that jump out at me. While I'm not a vegan, I love plant based foods, but I have only gone through this a couple of times and each time I'm kinda disappointed that nothing sounds quite as delicious as many of the recipes from the first book.
So much repetition and not at all quick or simple. I LOVED her first book and was really looking forward to this one but I will probably never use this since it's all the same recipes from her first book. Very disappointing.
Definitely not as great as the first book. I LOVE her first cookbook. I find a lot of the recipes in here to be quite similar to the first but more basic. I ended up returning the book as I didn't feel I would use it often like I do the original.
Un libro con recetas interesantes y sanas, fáciles de hacer y con ingredientes no muy complicados de encontrar en España. No es mi libro de cabecera pero para tenerlo como complemento y sacar ideas para cocinar está bastante bien.
Although this book is great, I was super disappointed that SO many of the recipes in this book are either from her blog or elsewhere. I have followed Oh She Glows for a long time and had even tried some of the recipes in the book already. Again, super disappointed.
