4.0 out of 5 stars Amazing headphones BUT...
By TheOtherDan on 11 October 2021
These headphones tick all the boxes except one. Spoiler, they're really uncomfortable to wear after a while

They look great and feel very well put together. The materials are sturdy where they need to be and soft and plush where it's required. Can't fault them there.

The dual jack design is super convenient and allows you to connect them to anything and everything.

The sound quality is unmatched at this price range. They just sound outstanding across all frequencies. This is where these headphones really shine.

Now for the "BUT". They become really REALLY uncomfortable after wearing them for even a short while. They advertise them as "Over Ear" but unless you're 6 years old or have comically small ears they're definitely NOT going over year ears and that's where the problem occurs. As you can see from the attached picture comparing them to my Steelseries Arctis 1's the ear cups are super small and therefore sit on the ears rather than over them. It's that pressure pushing down on the ears instead of the head around the ears that causes them to become uncomfortable and start to hurt.

The issue with the child size earcups is a real shame as it kinda ruins what would otherwise be an absolutely stellar product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice cans at an excellent value, some QC issues but fantastic company!
Reviewed in the United States on 26 January 2019
Me: I've been a musician for 30+years. I've fronted a rock band, sat first chair in a symphony and performed with all kinds of groups. I do instrumental and vocal work, as well as DJing and producing music. I spend more hours in headphones than anyone I know and I have lots of different kinds.

I DJ with in-ear monitors, so I bought these for casual listening, backups/consumer references for tracking and mixing, and situations where I'm playing with another electronic artist and I need to hear the mains directly. I hoped these would have enough sound quality to be up to the task, but be cheap enough that I could use them as backups and not worry about leaving them at a venue.

Model reviewed: I bought the Pro-30 Upgraded Standard version in silver and brown.

First, the good: These headphones sound great, especially for the price. They've got a V-shaped "consumer" tuning, as you would expect, but not as extreme as Beats or Monsters. It's actually pretty accurate if you're looking to reference quality consumer gear tuning profiles, not "audiophile" or studio reference profiles. The soundstage and separation are good, the clarity is good, mids are full and forward but balanced, treble is clear but not peircing or sibilant, and with the volume turned up, the bass really rumbles without getting muddy. Overall, they're nice and warm, but still detailed, full, and not overly colored. I don't think you could get better sound at this price or even 3x this price. They may or may not be up to audiophile standards (I don't consider myself one) but they certainly reach the hi-fi bar. They'll also please any bassheads without muddying up the music.

They're great casual listening headphones and with some EQing, depending on your preference, would be useful for mixing or tracking. I've found for hip hop and EDM they don't need any adjustment for music production. The tuning isn't skewed for bass, but they're not thin, cold, "reference" headphones either. I actually like them much better than the AKG K92s that sell for $20 - $30 more, and I like them better than the Monster DNA 40s.

I also tried them out for DJing and played about half a set with them. No issues at all with that application, although I switched back to my in-ears after a couple hours and since that's my preference, I can't give a full review specifically for DJ purposes.

The double-sided cable and audio pass-through features are very smart and quite useful. I found that I used it as a built-in headphone splitter for casual listening and movie watching with my partner much more than I thought I would. I also used them connected to two audio sources to mix tracks from my DAW and listen to references tracks from a music player. I also listened to music while having a phone conversation. It's a brilliant feature!

The fact that two removable cables and a bag are included at this price is awesome.

The earcups are incredibly plush and comfortable and provide a good seal. I cannot overstate the comfort of these earpads. It's like a broken-in kidd leather couch on your head. I can only describe them as "buttery". They're the most comfortable cushions I've ever worn and I don't think you could find much better at any price. Ditto on the comfort of the headband. If you have big ears though, they may not be a good fit for you as the inner diameter of the cups isn't that large. Perfect for my tiny ears and peanut head!

They look very stylish and I really dig the retro brown colorway and matching cable.

The bad: Build quality and QC could be better. My pair has one side where the adjustment notches are nice and snug and one side where they're a bit loose and mushy. It's not terrible, but noticeable.

Also, I've only had these for maybe a couple weeks and I've only used them a few times and been gentle with them. I was jamming with another DJ yesterday and went to remove the cable to fold them and put them away. I pulled on the knurled connector cover just like you're supposed to, not the cable or the strain relief. The cover popped right off the connector. I was kind of surprised to see that it's only held on with a tiny bit of weak adhesive. Bummer, because I actually thought the strain relief design looked pretty beefy.

A couple days later, the right side driver started dropping out intermittently. I'm hoping I just got a defective unit and that the overall durability of the brand is better.

Sadly, I wouldn't use them as main cans for DJing. I don't think they'd stand up to hard use. Perfect for backups or spares though, for casual home listening or as budget reference cans.

I'll contact the company to see if they can help me out and update this review with my results.

Update 2/8/19: The company actually contacted me before I got a hold of them to offer a replacement! Great customer service there. I asked them about buying a replacement brown cable (I always need extras on hand). They let me know that they don't sell the brown cable separately, but they sent me a red one free of charge. Solid.

No issues with the replacement cable. I think I just got a bad one.

I haven't gotten the replacement headphones yet, but I'll update my review when I do.

Update 2/13/19: I got the replacement headphones a few days ago, in about half the time they estimated! Unfortunately, they sent the wrong ones. I got the cheaper Pro-10s instead of the Pro-30's I originally bought.

I snapped a pic and emailed the company and got a reply literally within minutes. They apologized for the mistake and immediately sent me a replacement for the Pro-30's. They told me to keep the Pro-10s and enjoy them. Fantastic customer service and I'm upgrading my original 3-star review to 4-stars just for how good OneAudio is to deal with.

Since I get to try the Pro-10s, I'll go ahead and review those and report back. I'll also update this review when I get the replacement Pro-30's and get to spend a little more time with them.

Update 2/26/19:

So I got my replacement Pro 30's just a few days after OneAudio sent them out. Very timely. They work great. No issues with the driver or the cable. I've been spending more time with them; producing music, listening to music, preparing tracks for DJing, watching media and listening to podcasts. I'm appreciating them more and more. The comfort is incredible. The sound quality of the large, 50mm driver is very good, and especially impressive for the price. They are clear enough for critical listening but they're not fatiguing, which is unusual. The warmth and richness of the mids are really pleasant and the thickness of the bass is a treat. The treble is slightly recessed in the tuning and while clear, it's not sparkly, magical treble, if that's your thing. The upside of that is that you can listen to these phones for hours without your ears getting worn out.

OneAudio has been excellent to deal with and has shown a real commitment to customer service. The 24 month warranty is very generous and they actually stand by it. They definitely earned my future business.

I've updated my review from 4 to 5 stars for the replacement set and for OneAudio's customer service.

Update 02/01/20: One year later, I still love these headphones to bits, I still enjoy listening to them, and I still use them all the time. My AKGs are still gathering dust. I've since bought a pair of Nuraphones which retail at $400 and I still reach for my OneOdios when I'm gaming, relaxing on the couch, watching Netflix, or referencing how tracks will sound on midrange consumer headphones. They don't outperform my Nuras in sound, but they're still enjoyable to listen to and the comfort is unmatched. The earpads have only gotten better as they've broken in. I haven't been gentle with them at all and they've held up. If you're looking for a comfortable, high-value headphone that sounds good, I still recommend these and would happily put them up against headphones at the $100 mark.

If you want wireless, check out the OneOdio A70 Fusion, which I think an excellent all-around, workhorse headphone.

As you can see from the pictures pretty disappointed with Amazon as the box was open. It looked like it was hurriedly packed in. The carry pouch missing. So for Amazon delivery I will give 1 star. For the headphones I have been listening to them for the last 2 days and it's still early days. The sound quality is amazing and it does block out the outside noise. The 2 jacks provided with the headphones are very good material. I had plugged 1 into my phone and the other to my PC. sound is very clear and you can hear the beats clearly. Headphone is made of good material and it can easily fit over large heads. You might feel discomfort over the ears but that would easily be if u r listening to the headphones for more then 2 hours otherwise the cushion on the ear cups is of great quality. I specially went for this since I think bluetooth headphones don't provide that great sound as compared to non bluetooth ones. Having said that this is a fantastic headphone if u are.nkt looking for Bluetooth.

Wow! Wow! Wow! Thank you Amazon India for bringing such an amazing product to India!

Have been using it for about 10 days, I have used Audio Technica M50x, Sennheiser, Sony, boat headphones earlier.

Advantages:
1. Amazing thumping bass, use any equalizer software to optimise, but this one has the capability to deliver pure clear bass along the sides of mid and high notes.
2. No external amplifier required for using with mobile. Volume and bass is excellent even with bare mobile.
3. Has 3.5 mm and 6mm jack compatibility.
4. You can share the music with other users with the provided 3.5 mm port while using the 6 mm port.
5. Amature music creators will love to use the mixing facility by connecting the beats or background scores to one jack and instrument o/p to other.
6. Can be easily converted to wireless by connecting any available Bluetooth receiver (bought separately).
7. Padding or cushion is the best possible for comfort and noise proofing (passive cancellation).
8. Reproduces all frequencies with equal intensity.
9. Very very valuable for the money you pay.
10. It's like a subwoofer on you ears (with proper equalizer setting).

This one has a study build and light weight compared to other 50 mm headphones.
